Got a news item on Fox News about a fellow in Louisiana who fell, hit his head on the bottom rung of a treestand and died. There was another link embedded in that link. Seems that anti-hunting folks, Animal Liberation Front, are vandalizing treestands and box stands, spraypainting, "Hunt the Hunters." This is in Dunn County, Wisconsin. This group contacted Fox and was "very pleased" with the development. Also, they damaged several trail cams that might have captured their actions. What next?????

    Courtesy of Charlie Daniels:

Just take them rascals out in the swamp
Put 'em on their knees and tie 'em to a stump
Let the rattlers and the bugs and the alligators do the rest

camo75, good idea in theory but, IMHO, that just drags us down to their level. Overall, my experience with hunters shows that we are much more ethical and responsible than that. I would prefer to get photos on a trail cam, license number, etc., and let the law handle it. TN has hunter harassment laws on the books plus vandalism laws that would take care of them. A bit of jail time wouldn't hurt plus filing a lawsuit for damages and replacing what has been destroyed beyond repair would hit them in the wallet. Can you imagine their thoughts of buying someone a new treestand, box stand and trail cameras?
Good hunting to all this season!
BTW, going squirrel hunting with the grandson this weekend. Deer hunting will be later.

John how do you expect to get $ for damages from an under employed mother's basement dwelling protester?

They are nothing more than enviro terrorists. Charlie Daniel's suggestion is too humane for them.

Go for the organization itself. Some of the anti-hunting/animal rights groups have a good income from supporters. If they are a registered organization, their finances should be available to the public. As for the stereotype, some of them are affluent people or supported by affluent people. Witness the Hollywood elite who make millions for doing nothing but do support animal rights.
Go to www.imdb.com and type in names of some of the liberals in Hollywood. It is surprising to see who are supporters of animal rights, anti-gun, etc.

The protesters are not employees of the organization, no legal grounds to go after the organization.
