The writer is the WI version of the anti Trump Movement except his Liberal hate and irrational bias is aimed at anything Scott Walker and anything the Republicans do. He pouts. Its what he does. This is why when hunters read his tripe we roll our eyes and consider the source. Nobody considers Pat Durkin anything but a laughing stock and his tales anything but Liberal bias and hate.
He recently wrote an article basically making fun of anyone who believes in a young earth. I happened to be a young earth guy and am okay with someone expressing a differing opinion but the guy just named called and provided zero evidence to support his beliefs. I don't even remember what the point of his article was except it had nothing to do with the age of the earth. Not a good thing to do by needlessly alienating yourself from people for no reason.
I didn't need to read the article or even open it I knew it was written by Durkin who can't stand anything Walker does but puts no blame on the previous governor who was in office when when the state started down the CWD road. I have no idea why Bowhunting.com pays Durkin for this dibble he is the laughing stock of the outdoor writing community who should either stop writing all together or change his focus.
States are allowed to expand on privacy rights but not infringe on them further than 4th Amendment protections. There is no legal basis to oppose the proposed bill. As pointed out numerous times on this site, the reputation of the author is that of a rabid GOP/Walker basher. While there is much to dislike about the WI/DNR policy towards CWD and other issues, expansion of privacy rights doesn’t fall under that purvie.
I like Durkin for always having an opinion that isn't spoon fed. Don't always agree with him, but generally he does a really good job. He just does and says things people don't want to hear.
Its seems I'm not alone in wondering why Bowhunting.com would have anything to do with Durkin. Why Bowhunting.com would affiliate with, advocate for, agree with, support and share the opinion with Durkin is a mystery when there are actually good outdoor writers that don’t pollute their works with anti Republican bias like this joker does. Why not cut ties rather than be dragged down by affiliating with him.
Since Gov Walker took office Durkin has been 100% against anything he does, As far as I am concerned he is a Liberal Hit man His articles appear I thing monthly in local papers here in central Wi always highly Liberal, always against conservatism and Gov Walker
Living in Ohio, I don't have any stake in this new law. But from the outside looking in, I like it. In Ohio, you have to get written permission by law to hunt someone's property. I am looking at buy some land. If I don't want random people walking around on my land, why should I want DNR thinking that they can just trounce around at free will? I personally have nothing to hide, but it is the principle that I wouldn't want ANYONE, including DNR, on my property without permission. If they think a crime has been committed, go to the landowners door and knock. Talk to people. If they get the feeling that something illegal has taken place, then get a warrant. What would they do if you built a 10 foot tall wall around your entire property?
forgive me if I don't want anyone (including the DNR) tromping around my private property whenever they want with zero RS much less PC that I'm doing anything wrong.
