Little beards turn into big ones. The same as little racks do.

As for me personally shooting a jake...eh maybe. Depends on my mood if I am carrying the shotgun. If bow was in hand there would be no question.

Sometimes Jakes are just too easy. I like my season to last a bit longer and be more of a challenge.

As long as It Isn't a hen It's getting an arrow from me. Whether I hit It or not, that's another question.

For my first three years of turkey hunting I passed on jakes. This year I said any legal bird is going down.
This Tom checked in at 24lbs14oz. 11 1/4" beard, 1 1/4" spurs. Good things come to those who wait!

I don't turkey hunt, but I'm pretty sure they are protected in MS.

I'm sure the hens are in the spring. Most places a bird must have a beard to be legal. Inthe fall we can shoot any turkey. I'm positive MS has a turkey season.

Same theory must apply to Turkey's I guess...
    If it's brown it's down...

Boy, I wonder if the "trophy" Turkey hunters hate that mentality the way buck hunters do?

Personally I don't care, if someone buys a tag they can use it as they wish...

This would be a funny subject, now wouldn't it!!!:deer:

To each, his own :d I'd love to kill another big long beard this year, but if they remain uncooperative . . . ;)

p.s.- about time you participated in the forum, chump! And I hope I nail a GIANT tomorrow, while you're sleeping in :whip: :tu:
