    Plus I prefer to avoid cutting into the deers guts before it gets shot and does the high adrenaline death run.

    Stan Potts hits it on the head per usual "give it a second". I was taught this when I first started, patience and it'll present you a better shot, if not the deer wins this one. its all about the pursuit not a "now or never" mentality.

    I totally agree, quartering to shot is to risky, but why isn't the ham shot considered ethical? After all its like God built a little express lane for your arrow straight to the heart, there is even a bulls eye to aim at! the people down in Texas have it right. Plus, watch a deer jumping a string, their ham hardly moves,
