Disclaimer: I am NOT a paid spokesman or even a fieldstaffer...simply a satisfied customer pleased with a great product offered at a great price.

I've had my pair of Vortex Diamondback 8x42's for approx. 4 years now. Obviously, over the course of time, equipment becomes very well used and sometimes abused. I decided last week to send my binos back to Vortex to get a little warranty work done. Nothing major, new eyecups, rubber focus wheel cover, objective lense covers, and a broken eyecup screw. None of these concerns affected the usability of the binos, I just like having my equipment in top notch shape.

Fast forward to yesterday. My wife discovered a package on the doorstep. Oh goody, my binos are back. :D As I was digging through the Styrofoam peanuts, I found a box. Hmmm...I simply wrapped my binos in bubble wrap when I shipped them but I can understand Vortex protecting them by using a box. Well, inside the box was a black case-much like the one that my binos came in 4 years ago. Here's the good part, inside the black case was a brand new pair of Diamondback binos!!! Not just brand new ones...brand new upgraded ones. I couldn't believe it!

The invoice stated unrepairable internal damage. The only thing I can figure is the broken eyecup screw. I was not expecting a brand new pair of binos...I would have been perfectly happy with receiving my original pair but I'm not complaining. Vortex has me sold. Anyone considering a pair of binoculars definitely should give Vortex a look.

Glad to see there are more companies out there are doing this kind of stuff. I have a similar story with NAP. Long story short, my 2 week old Black 5" NAP Apache Stabilizer broke on the release of a shot. I called customer service and 5 days (2 of which were Saturday and Sunday) later I had a box from NAP in my door step. I opened the box and there was an 8" Camo Apache Stabilizer. The box also contained a pack of their Thunderhead Razor broadheads which are now installed on my arrows for the season.

I am glad to see that companies like this stand behind their products and their customers this well. Makes me love bowhunting that much more.

That is simply amazing. I've (luckily) not had to deal with customer service much, none of my hunting stuff is all that old, considering I just got into hunting about 2 years ago. But I do like hearing other peoples stories about good experiences like that. Good on them, and enjoy your new binos. I know there's nothing like a good pair when in the woods.

I just bought a pair of the 8.5 x 50 diamondbacks. I was a little nervous as they are a somewhat new company, but you story sums them up real good.

I picked up the 10x42s a couple weeks ago, the deciding factor in my purchase was the great reviews on their customer service. They had solid reviews for the quality of their optics but moreso for their no questions asked approach to repairs, this just reinforces that. Thanks for the post!

Always good when a company backs its products. Good for you, and they now get some great customer advertsing. win/win.
