My wife convinced me to let her make cloth diapers. Up front investment, now saves me $100+ a month with 2 kids in diapers. Red meat is not bad for you. Green fuzzy meat is bad for you!
No, the new designs are better than when I was a kid. It's no different than a regular diaper, you just wash it instead of tossing it. I was totally against it at first but it saved me enough money to buy my bow! Red meat is not bad for you. Green fuzzy meat is bad for you!
Baby clothes aren't that expensive if you realize that you only have to buy them once. I'm talking about baby clothes now. They come in lots of colors and if you avoid the pinks and blues, you can reuse them on the next baby, since they don't wear them long enough to wear them out. It doesn't work as well when they get into toddlerhoood, but Michelle (2 1/2) is still wearing clothes we bought for Miriam (5). May The Sheep Be With You
My wife wanted to do this at first but I talked her out of it (without me doing any research first). Now I'm curious, how much of a PITA are cloth diapers? Not too fond of washing chitty diapers in my washer.
When my wife first took me to Babies R Us after we found out she was pregnant I literally almost had a full blown panic attack looking at the prices. She had to help me out of the store. I mean, I was looking at a Cubs hoodie and it was $40. I can buy a hoodie for $40 for MYSELF. ETA: I promptly informed her that we are second hand and Target people, not BRU people.
I dont even worry about what cloths cost for my son...my wife has expensive taste in most things seems like more so with he buying for my son. I pick my battles and this is one I don't get into.
It sounds messy but it has no effect on the washer. Best thing I did was hook a spray nozzle up to the toilet to spray the messy ones out. Yes, it's manual but little diaper cleaning never hurt anyone. PM me if you have any specific questions. Once your in the swing of it, it becomes second nature. Red meat is not bad for you. Green fuzzy meat is bad for you!
Thanks for the info! It seems the wife is no longer interested in cloth diapers. I'm not too torn up about it.
