Why would someone make a thread bashing a particular brand of bows for whatever reason? Especially if you've never owned or even shot that brand of bow? What would a person possibly gain from doing this? And when you do it, Do you feel like a 14 yr. old girl? Many people come here looking for information and sometimes end up misled by some folks misenterpretation of an actual problem vs. personal opinion. Archers helping Archers would generally be more fitting if actual, factual, evidence of complaints were available besides having polls..... or just blantantly stating made up problems.
How about a reply that bashes a thread that bashes threads that bashes brands j/k This could go on forever
This is supposed to be an informative forum that brings helpful information to those who come looking for it. We all have equipment and brand loyalties that we love to defend, but let's keep the competition and loyalties friendly and stop the bashing. It infects all the pro shops in our town and it needs to end.
Is it any different then a Ford vs. Chevy battle on a forum? We all have brand favorites and tend to feel violated if someone says our opinion stinks and our bow sucks. The only true way to tell how well a bow shoots is to drive to the local pro shop and shoot them. I am not shooting the brand I spend two years researching before purchasing
It starts with the bows, and moves to what more personal attacks and pop shots That's when it becomes unhealthy
I don't see much bow basking going on in this forum. What I do see is personal/professional bias that won't allow dissenting opinions (of the gear in question) w/out some taking those opinions personally. There's no reason for it.
