Vegas is a weird one. In basically every other shooting or attack we know far more and knew it far quicker than we do with Vegas. The gun Nazis grabbed their new pet target of bump stocks and ran for a while. Most rational people understand that we cannot legislate people and at the end of the day it is a people problem.

that's nonsense. Completely false. If it weren't for Fox and alternative media you wouldn't even know the last 2 NY terrorists were Muslim immigrants. They would respectively be known as "a Florida (or New Jersey) man" and a "Brooklyn taxi driver". I saw a CNN story yesterday that implied the Bangladeshi scumbag had a fight with his family just prior to his attack and that made him snap. Same thing with the truck attacker- for the entire first day MSM tried to say that the attack stemmed from a parking spot dispute and was not a terror attack per se- until cell phone videos of him running around yelling "god is greatest" (the CORRECT translation- not simply God is Great. There is a massive difference) with a paintball gun surfaced and there was no plausible way to ignore the root cause.

Only on Fox and alternative media was the fact that these 2 d-bags got into the country via the visa lottery and extended chain migration even mentioned. Be reasonable for 3 seconds here- why are we importing millions of uneducated, low-skilled, un-vettable people from places where large percentages of the population HATE AMERICA? What greater good does that practice do to serve our country?

The visa lottery and chain migration are very important issues that affect all of us; and most people would have never heard of them if it weren't for Fox, Breitbart, and the non-MSM. You do yourself a disservice when you don't like what you hear simply because of the mouthpiece.

    http://www.nationalreview.com/article/454597/diversity-visa-lottery-dicing-death

here's an anti-Trump news source pointing out the idiocy of these programs-
    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/11/the-diversity-lottery-immigration/544850/

Back to topic- the reason we are not hearing anything about the Vegas shooter is there is a concerted effort to keep it hushed. MGM has more money than you could ever imagine, and what little investigative reporting that is being attempted is being stonewalled by both the sheriff's department and MGM (as reported on FoxNews segment last week. An attorney representing several families was on Martha McCallum's show. MGM declined to comment/participate in the interview.)

I still think there is/was much, much more to the Vegas story than what little we know...

    Well that escalated quickly.

I agree with pretty much everything you posted, but still am of the opinion that it would be a different story had the shooter been middle eastern. Basically treated as an attack on American soil the same way 9/11 was handled. But hey - That's just my opinion. It just depends on what media/news station you watch to form a particular opinion. I watch basically 0 news as I think its all BS. They all have an agenda no matter what the story is. I'm not coming in here to argue CNN/Fox views that so many threads turn into here.

Your last sentence I 100% agree with

Where did I say only I care? If you feel shame, again that’s on you. I don’t try and do anything anymore either, I am not wasting my time or money anymore. Sorry if stating we as a country did absolutely nothing after 5 and 6 year olds were killed upsets you. It’s just what happen after sandy hook, Vegas and the next one we will have. It’s who we are, besides being a Christian nation also:)

The country did do things. Schools are now safer than they were. We should do something, we should do something. OK, fine WHAT????

Still waiting for those who always talk about making change to provide the change that will make a difference. have yet to hear one.

My wife works at a school, every school in the district now has an access door where people have to be individually screened before they are let in. Keeps the kids safe but if an armed intruder got past the first door the passageway goes straight to my wife desk, guess who the first victim will be? So Germ we have done something to protect children from school shootings unfortunately it comes at the expense of my wife's safety.

Our world has always been full of chaos, it just appears more these days because of social media, the internet, and everybody in everyone elses business 24/7.

People have killed for fun since the beginning of mankind. Women have cheated on their husbands with underage boys. Men have sexually harassed women and gotten away with it. Serial killers have lived and breathed for decades and gotten away with it. Every religion, group of people regardless of color have slaughtered other groups based on their religion and difference of color. Priests have and will molest kids. Bigots will exist among us. Oppression will continue around the world. Kids will be sold into slavery and transported across international boundaries. Religious people will blame other religious people. Stating Jerusalem is the recognized capital of Israel will give people the mental "victim" state to kill others in the name of their religion. People will accuse men of sexual harassment 40 years after the fact to ruin their lives, sometimes it is true sometimes it is a complete lie. With all the liars in our country, in every facet of our lives, it will remain hard to trust anyone. People will milk the system and take our hard earned tax dollars and many politicians think that is ok. That will not change because being a victim is cool these days. The traditional powers of the world and large business owners will be vilified and slandered because the real fight is over power, both perceived and real. Money rules all around us and people will lie and cheat over it. Others will blame everyone else around them as to why they have no power and money.

And on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on....

Give me 200 acres in the woods of Virginia I can call my own and I would "tap out" to this chaos in a heartbeat.

Ideas that won't make a difference should be dismissed. I'm open to changes when dealing with mental health, but not sure what changes should be made and haven't heard ideas other then very general, "don't let people with mental illnesss have guns". This is entirely media and democrat politician driven and their ideas always come back to banning.

I personally believe this is the main reason right here, In Matthew 24:12 Jesus is talking about the end times, and he says "Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold."

I know there are alot of you who don't believe in the bible,(and there are alot who do) but I think its fair to say that our love for each other as a country has really tanked. I'm just a young kid, So I only have the early 2000s to go back to. But the unity we had as a country and the love and care we had for each other decades ago is evident. I was talking to my neighbor, an elderly lady who grew up during the tale end of the great depression. She would tell me stories about people who worked hard and helped others when they could. I think people genuinely cared about each other more then, than they do now.

I am not saying people don't help each other now, or never care for one another. to say that would be a smack in the face to all those who sacrificed their time to serve during the natural disasters we have had as well as attacks on our country. (Not to mention those who regularly serve in soup kitchens, homeless shelters etc) But apart from the "big events that bring us together" I feel like most Americans have little love for their fellow countryman. It kind of ties in to the self first, "mentality" I mentioned earlier. Just saying what I see in myself first and others second. Edit: this is especially true for those my age and under I think.

Just my opinion take it for what its worth(not much :)). I would like to hear from those who have been around longer and have seen more. Do you think we care more or less about each other as citizens?

Unless something new develops the news stations won't talk about it anymore. They are worse than ADD teenagers with news stories.

I haven't done any research... But did this type of event happen 40 or 50 years ago? What's changed since then? Technology?

Sorry but that's BS. It's less than a week from the self proclaimed Isis motivated attack in NYC at Port Authority and there is NO news about it today. They covered it for a couple days and moved on. Same with the terrorist that drove a truck into people in NYC as well. Both were in the media for a couple days at best and not "shoved down our throats".

Which event- LV or Muslims' attempted suicide bombings?
As far as mass shootings go- I'd say the biggest difference between 40-50 years ago is Big Pharma's enslavement of the population via opioids and psychotropic anti-depressants, which are a common denominator in almost all mass-shootings. But Muslims have been trying to massacre Infidels for about 1000 years.

I have that opinion simply because of the amount of casualties and the amount wounded. I apologize if you think my opinion is BS.
