Do they teach you to call them that in the spring and winter as well? I bet not... Since you are a professional in training, spread the correct word to these gentleman when they incorrectly use the .5 term.
I add the half in there because it's closer to the correct answer. If someone asks me what time it is I'd say 3:14, not 3.15 or something....that's what it is. I am more particular about numbers than most people. It doesn't take me much longer to say 3.5 compared to 3. Somehow I've gotta catch up to the number of words a girl says in a day....might as well be talking about two and a half year old deer.
Scott: I see your point. They are 3 in the spring/early summer. 1/2 in the fall. I think the reason it is taught as 1/2 's in schools is the only time they age deer is at check in stations during season. Hope all is well. Dean
