I think if we are really serious about KEEPING America great we need to stop fighting amongst ourselves and attack all issues Reasonably.
I feel the more the conservatives give into the Liberals the more empowered the liberals feel and the more they want. Nobody wants crooked corporations but call them all out.
We all want to help those who cannot help themselves but nobody wants people just taking advantage of our generosity.

And look at and I understand the former world powers in this world. Spain, Italy, France, etc and where their countries are at today with these advanced social programs.
Let's not make believe America can do socialism better than they can.
    It doesn't work.

If you anybody knows people in business from these countries. They will give you an earful. Very depressing.

My wife constantly battles getting people to apply for good paying jobs. She always has positions available and its inside easy work that includes all the on-job training. Every business owner I know complains about people not applying for good paying positions. There are plenty of jobs available for those that want to work. Hand outs are easier. We have been told as much by some applicants and others that have quit. The system is broken.

Honestly, we have created a systems that provides a better life off the government dime than they could make working an entry level job at most companies. I don't fault the wages the companies are offering. It's the short sided mindset of the people that refuse to give up on the government teat to find gainful employment. They have forgotten that entry level jobs and entry level pay lead to better opportunities whether it is with the current company or another job down the road. You have to put in your time and prove yourself if you want to get ahead. If you are unwilling to do this, you really don't deserve to have a high paying job and you certainly shouldn't be afforded a better lifestyle than those that choose the right way.

Honestly if a person is living in poverty there is affirmative action, gov't subsidized day care, and grants and aid readily available for a young student to get secondary education. No excuses if a person wants it. Lets talk about the challenges of having two kids in college and the Gov't says you make too much money to be considered for any kind of discount or better interest rate to pay for kids who have a realistic expectation of graduating.

I gave up on Hollywood a long time ago! Anybody who bases their choice of political party on what their favorite actor/actress says is part of the problem! For the Rock making that kind of money is insane he's good but not that good. IMO

No kidding we were given the same advice get divorced, how pathetic is that. We made it thru getting the first kid thru, now just have the wedding coming up and graduate school for the other. Funny I have never felt like I make too much money, especially with an appointment to get the taxes done this weekend.

My daughter was on assistance with her daughter for a while. She was actually told not to work over X amount of hours or she will lose benefits. Isn't that screwed up. Wouldn't it be better to encourage making more money.

All these protests going on is really just proving to the world that the liberals really don't need a reason to start a protest.

Can you imagine if conservatives did this to Obama?

Had a girl that worked for me have the same issue. She said once she stated making better money she had the fight with them to get the checks to stop coming in. Thats job security of the social worker. The more people dependent of the government the more dependent their job is. Give them a scrap of fish but not a fishing poles.

Try being a farmer with all of that "valuable land," no grants or even most student loan programs.

"I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

I work for a French company, hands down the best company I have worked for in my career. Hold on I'll ask, some one from France sitting right next to me.

Like all countries France has its ups and downs, he loves living in Paris. No earful, but these guys are also engineers and on the higher end of the spectrum for pay.

And? I love France but be honest, what do they say about the condition their government has their economy in?

They invented socialism and the people have everything they've ever wanted and yet I've never been there when there hasn't been some kind of strike. Same mentality and the people protesting here now. It's never enough.
