Since I bought my land, my gun hunting is just like my bowhunting...... peaceful. Actually, I haven't laid eyes on another hunter for the whole season so far.

Gun hunters would ge themselfs a great service if the knew how to bowhunt but with a gun. JMO. I don't gun hunt unless it's private property and if someone wants to tread across that line they will be cited with a tresspass citation and whatever else can be handed out.

I though an army was invading the club I am on on opening day. Everywhere you look it seems you saw orange walking down trails and roads. Im leaving this club next year for sure.

I half agree with you. I think driving deer would fall into that category, although I know people that do it that way because that's the way they like to do it. Spot and stalk on the other hand takes a little more effort and skill. Anyone who can spot a deer before it spots him, then sneak in closer for a shot must be doing something right.

Agreed... for the people that set out to spot and stalk or still hunt. I would say the majority that do it don't even know the style of hunting and more or less go for a walk in the woods because they ran out of patience sitting after the first hour of opening day or figure if they cover more ground their odds of seeing a deer increase.

Its no differnece here in NY. In the last five years I have only gun hunted the opening weekend because of all the gun season BS. This year is a little different. I am part of a lease that you have to treat gun season like bow season. So far so good. Now if the weather could coperate a little better.
