Addicted bowhunters in search for a monster rack need something to keep them in the stand for LONG sits ( my guess )
We don't use it. We are just smart enough to make it and sell it to guys in the South so we can afford to hunt.
I'll say what others won't. We have an abundance of white trash, few good jobs and lots of rural/wooded area to have cook sites. I'm shocked Illinois isn't leading the country in meth labs. Every one of my friends that hunt has found at least one old meth lab at one point. I've found 3 on 2 different properties since 2006.
Lots of poor, uneducated people, coupled with the relative ease of finding components and making it. I just don't get the whole drug thing personally.
In all seriousness, I used to find labs all the time. I have not seen one now in over four years. The new laws restricting access to some of the components needed to make it have really cut down on the labs. Iowa took pseudophedrine off the shelves and it is now behind the counter and must be signed for and the quantity is limited and tracked. That made a huge difference. Locking systems were also developed for agricultural anhydrous tanks and that too made a big difference.
maybe they're sick of umblemished skin and mouthfulls of teeth. They call 'em "sum'er teeth". Sum'er here and sum'er there.
I count 5 midwestern states producing less than LA...but yeah a few of them are crazy high in numbers
I've never done it myself, but I have been around folks who were using it. They say the high is like no other. As has been mentioned, rural areas with lower incomes and a lack of jobs lead to people making it to get high as well as making money for themselves. One of the biggest issues today is that the one pot method is becoming quite common. Folks don't need a bigger area to set up a lab, because it can be cooked in something the size of a two liter bottle. This also leads to more folks making it for personal use as opposed to mass quantities to sell. Trying to limit the amount of cold/sinus medicine doesn't work either. Folks will buy their limit and then trade it to a cook for meth, so the cook can get all the ephedrine they need without going to the store and raising suspicions.
1. It's cheap to make 2. It's easy to make 3. It sells 4. We have giant tanks of ammonia rolling around
Just think, these kids will be running our country someday and calling it Medical Meth to get it legalized.
You do realize there already is medical meth legalized? It's called Desoxyn and is indicated for ADHD and obesity... Not to mention the 15 other stimulants that all get converted to a form of meth once in the body. It's nothing new, it's just like 100 other substances that when taken in excess creates a high. The difference is it has been discovered that its easy to make on your own and best of all, it's cheap.
We have a decent sized meth problem for the rural area I live in. Its so cheap (nothing as pure as Hiezenburgs blue glass...lol) and easy to get (just like weed). Ive fought at least 1 house fire with a confirmed meth lab inside. Not cool.
