Born and raised in Greene County, Indiana. Went to USI in Evansville for a year then transferred to IU. I lived in Indy for not quite two years after I graduated from IU. I didn't care much for the big(ger) city and when a job opportunity popped up in Bloomington I jumped at the chance to move back. The wife and I moved to Ellettsville, which is just outside of Bloomington, and I don't see any reason to go elsewhere. We are both forty-five minutes to an hour from our family and I have plenty of places to hunt in just as short of a drive. Tons of places to go fishing as well. I'm sure there could be something/place better, but we're pretty happy and I don't see any reason to change. The one change I would make is to find a house out in the country with a little bit of land so I could manage it and have my own place to hunt.
I live in north western PA because the local folks beg me to stay here and make the community a better place, yea I'm just that "awesome" its a burden I carry with pride.
Kind of where I landed I guess. Lived here growing up, ventured out, came back, own a golf course here now and like to kill things that walk around the woods around here.
Just think of what -40 would do for that area! Traffic jams, honda cars with fart pipes and rural sprawl every where.
eh.... +100 and humid I can go jump in a lake and still have fun -30 and snowing just hurts. Everything hurts when it's that cold.
Only problem I have with this, is that at -30, it's too cold to snow. Biggest difference between the North and South: In the south, snowing means it's cold. In the north, snowing means it warmed up.
I would agree with this....I can spend the day at the lake if it's hot The only thing I'm going to do when it's -30 is sit inside and keep warm
If I step outside and my nostril hair freezes within 30 seconds, I'll find something to do inside. Winters can be fun and there are some outdoor activities to enjoy, but it can also be HELL at times lol.
Throw a little wind in and even the house creeks and groans. It is pretty brutal out when it's that cold.
I live in Finland and i live for a lot of reason and having a job is a very important factor. That's why in Finland country there are many of rekrytointipalvelu or recruitment service that give many people an opportunity to look for a job.We all know that now a days job is really hard find.
I was born and raised in north central New Hampshire, after meeting my future wife 3 months out if college at age 22 we hit the road and traveled a lot with work for 4 years. I love the mountains out west in Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. Northern California and Lake Tahoe was awesome as well. Wyoming would probably be the coolest state we traveled through based on scenery and outdoor opportunities. But southeast kansas has become home. The people are friendly, our jobs in KC are excellent, the deer are huge, and the cheaper cost of rural living has set us up well for the future. For those that have never experienced the flint hills and southeast Kansas, it's nothing like you could imagine. I've found my home for sure.
Lived here since age 7 but always loved it and only a few times ever considered moving and that was to Colorado because Fl was kind of seasonal back then and I thought CO would have more work year round. Glad I stayed in South FL. Love the constant growth and work to be had and great weather year round and I've only been effected by 3 hurricane in the 42 years I've lived here. What we don't have in game hunting we more than make up in great year round fishing.
y'all are wusses. Born in China, moved to UK with parents, grew up mainly in Scotland, emigrated to the USA in 2005 - straight to Birmingham, Alabama - and been here since. Naturalised a year ago to sort out my dual citizenship, and now proud parent of a 2 month old son Why Birmingham, AL? My wife has a lot of family in the area and we thought it would make the transition easier. As it happens we never needed their help in that way, but there you go
Born and raised here. Got a good paying job, good friends, close family, and great deer hunting 6 miles away. Why would Ieave?
I live where I live because it is close to my youngest son, he`s 13. When he turns 18, I`m planning on moving to Wyoming or southern Idaho, depending on the employment situation at that time. Welcome beerguy.
