Kind of a reversal to your question... but my archery and my trucks are the reason I drink cheap horrendous beer: so I can afford my beer and my toys :-P haha!
my family and I always like the meat. I think as hunters it is just in our make up. It is who we are. I also have great respect for God's creation and feel lucky to enjoy beautiful days in the woods with friends and family.
Enjoying quality time in the woods with a purpose. Also a getting out of your comfort zone for myself and a little fear factor at times. I do enjoy the fact that a majority of hunters are God fearing and pro America. Enjoyable crowd to be around. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-3bSLwLg5k&sns=em Kilboars Hunt Club
x2 on the above 23 post, but more importantly, because I have the freedom to do so and I am healthy enough to be able to hunt! Some old farts are still lucky.
I'm driven by a great many things. I enjoy the peacefulness of the woods. I enjoy watching the shooting stars before daylight, and then enjoying the sun rise. As nature comes to life around me, I cannot help but smile at the amazing creation God has given. I also know that the meat harvested in the field will supplement the meat purchased from the store. This in itself is a huge driving factor. I have a family to feed and provide for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I love the majesty of sunrise. I love the quiet. I love the rare sights. I love outwitting a turkey, deer, or coyote. I love my morning prayer of thanks for a day of peace and the post-kill prayer of thanks. I love being able to provide something from the land for my family. I love the exercise. Lastly, I love passing all of that on to my hunting daughter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
