Longer season, close encounters, challenge of getting and making a good shot, don't depend on the meat to survive so failure is okay. There is just something about shooting a bow that I love and taking an animal with one is super rewarding. I love guns but haven't killed a big game animal with one in over 20 years.
I love what it takes to be successful. I love that i can dedicate to myself to the craft all year long and still find room for improvement. I like that if i don't practice i would be ineffective, it makes it mean more to me. As far as the hunting is concerned, i like that I can craft a strategy and see it play out. Bow only for me.
