Well then I am really smart only paying $3 for a sticker that the chicks think I spent $500 on. Brilliant I say.

I don't have any stickers on any of my vehicles. I tend to agree that unless you are affiliated with a certain brand or product, putting a product decal on your vehicle seems a bit silly.

I think if you are affiliated with a product, then having a sticker on your vehicle helps to raise awareness to that product. People will see it and if it draws their attention they might check out that product online or maybe even approach you about it.

I think most people put them on as a status symbol, not necessarily because they love QAD, but more that they are proud to be a hunter and want everyone else to know it.

Reminds me of the people who put a little stick figure decal for every member of their family and pets. My wife brought up the idea, it was shot down immediately.

But at least that is personalized and something to be proud of (a family). Buying a product that you have nothing to do with is not personalized. It is just something you purchased that someone else built and designed and made money off of by selling to you.

Not only do we already have the rant thread, but this was already argued about quite a bit in the bowhunting talk section. I guess when you are constantly trying to up your post count and don't have a lot of whitetail information you have to recycle topics

Didn't see that discussion so no idea it was out there. Wanted a good debate thread instead of just posting in the rant thread a lot of people don't look at. Trying to spice things up a little bit around here. My post count is my status symbol since my 2004 Accord isn't cutting it.

Have never put product stickers on any of my vehicles... And I probably never will. I've also never thought this much into why or why not someone decides to put a product sticker on their vehicle...

Lets spice this place up with some stickers.

Um...I put stickers EVERYWHERE. The wife hates it because our pillows are uncomfortable and the TV Screen hard to see with the circling stickers I post everywhere!

I believe it has already been nailed by those who stated while some do it for "status" others do it out of affiliation or true belief the product is worth raising awareness. Me personally I have no "merchandise" logos on my truck but I do have a scripture/group reference sticker...and a lifestyle sticker "I Am Second"...soon I will be a sell out and put one of my Small Acre Hunting ones on it as well.

(Oh and started looking at maps last night...thoughts to come soon Brad)

I have a "Pheasants Forever" and "TIP (turn in poachers)" decal on my truck because I believe in habitat and turning in poachers. Are these stickers wrong?

But you are affiliated Ty. No qualms about you putting a sticker advertising something you are part of. Advertise away.

No. I assume you are part of Pheasants Forever and you are reminding people to turn in poachers. This was covered in post #6

Your vehicle can be extension of who you are, you put the stickers to advertise who you are and what you stand for. I can see that and have done that to a point. My last truck had a couple Bowhunting.com stickers, Rocky Mountian National park and a deer skull sticker. The one I have now has nothing and I like it. Too each their own but some of the trucks I have seen at the get together look like my daughters school book covers with hunting stuff. I get it but it's not for me anymore.

I have one sticker on my vehicle, its a Southern Illinois Outdoors decal, my hunting group, stickers in general just are a business ploy to get the company more publicity
