Fair enough. I don’t totally disagree. For me, I think it’s just because I am not use to looking at giraffe trophy shots and the fact that I have no desire to shoot one. I could care less about what rich people do. That again is an argument that many non hunters make for any species, including white tails, not only canned hunts, but the price of some of the premier midwest hunts. Again, it’s all relative. But candidly, beyond not taking the picture at all, I don’t know how it could be done in more tastefully than it was, in my opinion. I guess one could argue for her to stand behind the animal, but then you could barely see her. Maybe besides it. I don’t know, but looking at the animal itself, I really don’t how else you could prop it up. I am still curious if anyone can tell me how to take a kill shot of a giraffe that would have changed the perspective of the casual observer.
The ones on Breitbart.com were in better taste. I would post them but can't figure out how on my phone. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I went to breirbart and looked. You answered my question.. Not sure if that picture lessens the negativity from the antis but I agree it is a more tasteful picture. Thanks
I don’t think there’s anything distasteful about it. It’s legal. No different than someone gripping a big rack with an ear to ear grin on their face. In all honesty I think it’s the stupid sunglasses that throws it off a little.
This is a difficult subject. I have hunted for a long time and all across my desk and walls are pictures of me with the animals that I have taken. I don't post them on Face Butt or any other place online but that is me. Even though I enjoy seeing photos from others hunts, I get very irritated when someone doesn't take the two seconds to put their animal's tongue back in its mouth. Simple thing and for me annoying. To others no big deal. I would not have a picture taken for publication but that is me. Remember, in our 24/7/365 news cycle world, they need something to talk about and anything that is controversial will keep their time slot filled.
Ahh Chief Liberal Lavender Hoof. Commander of the liberals. He farts tears and wherever he points that horn a protesting bunch of clueless liberal cry babies shall appear. Or so the legend goes...
Even if she personally didn't, from the conversations I've had with a couple African PHs, the meat is most often donated and consumed by those in the local communities.
I don’t have a problem with the giraffe, but this on the other hand.... Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

yahoo once again bringing us that ultra important news from the latest facedouche or twatter innerweb spat.
To me it is not the picture. To me the problem is where we post these things. If you don't have your privacy settings locked down so only friend can see what you post you are going to be in trouble eventually. Since when do we need to display our whole lives on social media. I used to advise pre-service teacher candidates to watch what they post, and to always think twice about how a post could be misconstrued. Sadly, I know several that lost job opportunities for things as simple as posing with a red solo cup. The HR director did a little math and decided the kid was an underage drinker regardless of what might have been in the cup. I share pics here because I know they are welcome. I canceled my Facebook account because you can't win. By the way, the default setting in Facebook is that your posts are open to friends of friends. You have to change it to friends only, and then hope they don't repost it.
that's why I call it "fakebook". all this social media crap is going to someday come back and bite a lot of people.
