Swamp Stalker is right, it makes us look like we just shoot stuff for trophies etc. Not my thing but whatever floats your boat!
Then you should really be ticked by any hunting video. It's just a picture. You ever taken a picture of you and your kill? If so why and did you show anyone? No issues with this one. Sent from my SM-T537V using Tapatalk
The animal is in a resting position and she’s standing next to it. I’ve seen Whitetail pics worse. If you’re wanting to show the anit’s where we hunters are coming from, then show the amount of money that it took to harvest that giraffe. Track that money, track the meat, then make a judgement. If you can show people this was a big ol ahole that was tearing up people’s crops, and the people from the area recieved the money and meat from the hunt, it seems like a win win.
I have no problem with a tasteful “hero shot” photo. In my opinion, this picture is in bad taste. we DO have to take other people into consideration when taking these photos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If they can’t provide extra pics with people receiving the meat and money helping the locals then they shouldn’t post these pics. Too much fuel for the fire
IMO, there is a difference between anti hunters and non hunters. Antis will hate it and non may not understand it. I shot 2 zebras in Africa and a few people didn’t understand how I could shot a horse. Once I explained that it’s not a horse and how the game farms work, that they are a benefit to animals and the local community, most understood. I find it disturbing watching hunting shows and seeing some of the crappiest shots made. Gut shot are becoming more common, 100 yard shots, come on. The long and short of it is, I refuse to put a hunter down for what he does, as long as it’s legal. I will choose not to watch or support. United we stand, divided we fail.
The only thing wrong with this picture is the size of the antlers!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Who? Peta? I'm sorry but I'm done changing words or actions for the feelings of anyone else. They need to realize what real life is all about. Some never will figure out where the fast food burger came from. Sent from my SM-T537V using Tapatalk
Congratulations looks like you have some good non steroid or gmo food for the family. Sent from my SM-T537V using Tapatalk
I disagree, there is nothing wrong with this pic. There’s nothing wrong with the giraffe pic, it just need some explaining for people that don’t hunt
I understand your anger and frustration. I’m not trying to argue, or piss anyone off. When within our own community/fellow hunters anything goes, and it’s a blast. But ignoring other people’s views or feelings makes us no better then anti’s. Like I said, I’m not trying to argue with anyone. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, I have to much respect for people on this forum to get in a argument. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nothing personal to you. Everyone needs to realize no matter how much you try they will never be satisfied. The old saying is 100% truth. Give them an inch and they will take a mile. Nice buck antlers and all. Sent from my SM-T537V using Tapatalk
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2018/0...-black-giraffe-trophy-kill-spark-outrage.html "She points out that the giraffe she killed was 18, too old to breed, and had killed three younger bulls who were able to breed, causing the herd’s population to decrease. Now, with the older giraffe dead, the younger bulls are able to continue to breed and can increase the population. 'This is called conservation through game management,' says Talley, who insists hers was not a "canned" hunt. He was over 4000 lbs. and was blessed to be able to get 2000 lbs. of meat from him.' there is nothing wrong with this pic, or the story whatsoever. Is the animal more special because it's from Africa? Antis are going to hate. Non-hunters going to need some 'splaining. No different than any other "trophy pic".
How is this “in bad taste”? You have no problem with a hero shot? Here’s hers. There is no gut pile, gore, no bloody face, just a hunter with an animal she killed.
All I can say is when you're ashamed to take pics with your legally harvested game then the issue is YOU! First, The animal is not "draped" around her neck, she's standing next to it. Secondly, Please tell me how you'd take a pic with your giraffe? This is an animal that stands 18 ft. tall with a 8+ ft. neck that weighs several hundred pounds. Third, There is no blood and gore in the photo. These are YOUR conclusions gathered from a simple pic. Thicken your skin man! That's the problem today. Everyone is offended by ANYTHING you do.
