I wish she would have got a few more punches in on the cat:moose:

I'm with ya too Greg, the PETA scream was priceless. I read the commentary thing, it said the dog was ok.......

I was thinking it must be a carbon deficiency...

I just picked up a house around the corner to hunt that has deer eating his hostas - said I was welcome to come over and kill them and use his kids playhouse as a stand.

Now I can say I am protecting the neighborhood dogs and cats as well?!

Not my lab either. I wonder though If that dog wasn't older then the hills. Too bad the cat didn't get It's ass kicked. The dog caught the bad end of It that's for sure.

That was good. The cat was smarter than the dog. That's why I like them!

    Poor dog.

My lab thinks everybody/everything is her friend. I could see her not expecting to get stomped by a deer. The only living thing I've seen her be hostile towards is a 'possum after I clobbered it. I think she was just taking her cue from me. She won't even kill a pheasant, but she will retrieve them.

If that was my aging dog I would have shot that deer dead and paid the price later if there was a price to be paid. Pets become family members, many of you here have said that after losing one or said it to someone else that lost one.

If that was my dog that deer would be history. I can understand the mother being protective but I am also protective of mine.

If that were happening to one of my dogs that deer would have been on my table later that evening. My dogs would have had a nice snack in their bowl too.:ninja:

that was cool. i think my dog would have hauled ass outta there, i doubt he would have laid down and got pummeled. i would have run up to that deer to get my dog, or shot it.

i'm sure the antis would have a reason for this " this only happened because of the years of hunters invading the deers natural habitat. the animals have now taken to attacking other harmless animals because of the fear they have from hunters" or something totally stupid like that :)
    thanks for posting that

She seen the dog as a threat probably from past expierence. (with roaming domestic dogs) Put a pretty good whooping on him too. The cat had since enough to run.

    I see lots of stuff...

    1. Why was the dog roaming around in the front yard?

    2. For those that said they'd kill the deer... are you going to pull out your concealed handgun and rip off a couple rounds in the neighbors house... or run inside, put on your release, nock an arrow, run outside, draw and shoot? I don't think there was enough time to do a whole lot. Don't get me wrong, I have a dog that I love and would do damn near anything for him... but really what could you have done?

Bad deal all the way around...

I guess we know what "PETAish" people do when two animals fight... nothing :D
