I think unethical for me may be just a poor shot for others. I was referring to shots such as moving deer hard quartering even those shots such as Justin's on the last webisode. I hate to put him on blast as I know he gets enough of it from Todd. imo these are shots that shouldnt be taken but always will. It just seems like the majority of the time these shot on video always have the same old story of. I shouldn't have but I did. Hopefully that's a little more clear
I think for some people it is a maturation and experience process. As a new bowhunter I had practiced a lot before going in the field, was confident shooting in my yard but when I got to the woods and started seeing deer, shooting lanes and all the host of variables I found that most of the time there are no "perfect shots". Deer are moving and you are trying to get them to stop, they stop one step out of your perfect shooting lane, they are pointed right toward you, etc. etc. In my inexperience I have taken some bad shots but I like to think that I have matured and grown into a better more experienced bowhunter. And yes I have passed on many deer since my early days because the situation was not right and really have not regretted the decision not to shoot one little bit.
I pretty much agree with this. Most times they back out for the night anyways and either the outfitters know the land extremely well or where legal they set the dogs loose.
