Thats a big reason I moved out of "The Peoples Republic of Illinois" as I have seen it called on here by someone else. They have to charge you for everything so they can build that new prison for all its elected officials.

In ky all wildlife funds are raised through the sale of tags and licenses. No tax money, atleast it used to be and I believe its still the same.

But I assure you, the animals belong to the state and federal government. If they need to transport them to other areas, they will do it with or without your approval.

I haven't purchased a license or tags in Ohio in 2 years. I love the new laws. My property, my food.

The only reason that we are charged to hunt deer around here is because it's another way for the government to make money off of us. This is evidenced by the fact that although deer populations remain stable in several surrounding counties, they are planning to open them up to unlimited antlerless harvest. These places do not need unlimited harvest. I have hunted these areas my whole life and there is definitely not an overabundance of deer. This is solely a ploy to make more money and is extremely disappointing. It seems to me that the state cares only about one thing.....money, not wildlife.

Pretty tough to eat tag soup if you don't have the main ingredient! ;)

Deer travel miles and miles. Unless you own over 10,000 acres you shouldn't have to buy a license. Small pieces of property do not maintain wildlife.
