Hi My bow started shooting an inch or so low the other day for no reason. I tried adjusting the sight down a little but its still shooting low. Any ideas, nothing got bumped or moved just started hitting low
Are you using a peep sight? Maybe that moved? I used a silver marker, made a mark on my string in line with my peep. That way if it moved.. I'll be able to tell immediately.. Good luck!
Checklist: Anchor point__ Nockset___ Peepsight___ Rest___ Sight___ Not Bending at the waste___ Gripping/Torquing___ Elbow position locked or bent___ String stretching___ Target moving___ LOL
Maybe dropping your bow arm too early, could try watching the arrow flight all the way through til impact and then drop your arm. I'm just bullspitting here I'm no bow technique expert.
Is it a mental problem? I was having one that I just realized this weekend after missing a dandy buck at 12.5 yards. I couldn't get my pin up on the deer and I was punching my release. This caused me to shoot low. It sucked!!!
How so? Component noise or bow noise? You may want to get it looked at just to be sure nothing is wrong. I ignored some cam noises and am now waiting for mine to be rebuilt/repaired into the second week of the season.
I think you should have it looked at just to be safe. I got whacked pretty hard when mine broke but I was fortunate because nothing serious happened. My spacers were gone on my cams which caused the cam to be out of alignment.
Good call muzzy. I was looking at it today and found my draw adjustment cam was rattling. One of the adjustment screws was broke off. I'm guess its also was I started shooting low.
I practiced with my anchor point on my jaw all year and shot great. Opening day I shot just below the chest on a 12 point buck. I found my natural anchor point was just below my ear. When I raised the anchor point I shot lower. I now made adjustments on my sight. Next time will be different. SRM
