I know the feeling Dan!! I'm starting to get really pissed off with my cell service as well. Mine Is through Unicell and It works great at the house here but when I get 20 miles north of me where the majority of my farmers are that I pick up milk at the service goes to hell. Cell service Is big time Important for me with my job so I need to figure something out. Last year I switched from Alltel who was the worst ever cell carrier I've ever had. Before they bought out Midwest Wireless my cell service was great.

Lol!! I thought of you right away when I made this thread, I knew your answer. I was going to wait out my time with Alltel being VZW bought them out but I was told by customer service the switch wasn't going to happen In my area for some time. I was a little ticked so I said the heck with It and switched after being with the same carrier for 12 years.

    T-Mobile.
I work for them so I'm also biased, and to make a point..VZ wireless data nowhere near as fast as T-Mobile...We're going to beat the pants off of everybody for speeds here very soon. Mark my words. ;):p:D

Let me know how that works out for you;) VZW will have LTE covering over 100 million POP's by years end. T-Mobile will never have the Data coverage that VZW will have and will be running HSPA+ just like at@t. There might be a short term jump in speeds bu the map for that pales in size to the map at@t already gets ribbed over.

I am sure you have head that Telstra has hit 21Mbps with HSPA+ but we are talking perfect network situations. VZW will be running 8-12Mbps without multiplexing channels in a real time data saturated environments with LTE on a small bandwidth. HSPA+ is a step down from LTE and therefore T-Mobile will be behind in 4g evolution if it sticks with HSPA+.

VZW has the largest swath of 700MHz spectrum, something T-Mobile doesn't have since they are stuck with the 1700 and 2100MHz licenses. This will cause T-Mobile have to invest much more into tower infrastructure since the spectrum they hold has less penetration. VZW already has most of the country covered with towers and will have most of the country covered by the end of 2013 with LTE.

Unicel! I was on Midwest Wirless then Unicel bought my portion of Midwest when Alltel bought the rest, then Verizon bought Alltel so now were being sold to AT&T I don't know where I'll end up at the moment!

I'll worry about LTE with Verizon when LTE can pass a successfull voice call.
HSPA+ is what's going to be the pathway for LTE.
When LTE can pass a voice call without killing a battery then I'll starting giving VZ a thought.

LTE doesn't need to pass voice. VZW will be using CDMA for voice for years to come with LTE devices and will have CDMA capabilities for areas where there is no LTE. Here is a great link for LTE voice http://www.gsmworld.com/newsroom/press-releases/2010/4634.htm

Well, some companys cannot afford to run two networks at once.
Data is data, and until VoIp applications can be applied to wireless LTE is still way off.

LTE is not way off, 100 million POP's in the US will be covered in less than 8 months by VZW:)
