It's going down slowly here, too. At least with the sun getting higher, it's melting snow even when it doesnt get above freezing. I went out Friday and I was halfway up my thighs yet. We'll be able to look for sheds by the G2G at least!
We have a minimum of 4 feet on the ground in the woods still....one cam I can see from the new place I been working on, poked out for a couple days during the warmup but its now almost a foot under again. I'll post some pics tomorrow...from after this latest snow dump is hopefully over(6-8 inches so far in the last 24hrs).
Good pics, guys. This has been one of the worst winters on record. I have a lot of family in Michigan. They keep me informed on the conditions up that way. I love making them mad by telling them how 'bad' it is here. Lol. I cannot believe the amount of snowfall this season. I am hoping that other animals such as turkey and other birds have been able to survive in that kind of weather. Everyone that lives in the areas with a 'bunch' of snow, be careful and patient. Best of luck to all of you.
Nope, most of it is gone here in PA except in higher elevations, low spots, and north slopes. The nice thing about this time of year is any snowfall is quickly melted away because of sun elevation and increasing daylight. I'm ready for spring.
I went yesterday to check cams as I haven't been able to get to them for three months because of the snow. I did get back there but there were still places that were three feet deep. At times it was very rough going. Blessings..........Pastorjim
Man we're all amateurs compared to you. That's "professional" winter right there. Blessings.........Pastorjim
couple pics from today the cam is about 4.5 ft up...when I set it the snow was just about knee high first week of January got another inch since the pic on the roadway...so when is spring?
Here was our Lab trying to get through over 3' of snow. It hasn't melted much since.
