I was semi-excited for turkey season to start until I pulled up to one of my hunting spots to look for sheds last Saturday. Now I am amped up :nana:

Look who was out in the field to greet me

WOW...that is alot of birds...would kind of help and hinder the hunting at the same time. It should be dynamite once they begin breaking up.

good luck man, headin out in the AM for my first scouting session of the year on my turf.

By the time the season opens they will be broken up. It's just fun to see them in huge groups like this in early March every year

Wow, what a couple of great pictures. That sure gets the blood pumping. I always look forward to spring turkey hunting. Get to spend some extra time with my 2 boys outdoors, listen to the birds gobbling, see a few deer. What more could a person ask for?

Is that your blind in the background of the first pic? If so, I think you have a pretty good spot staked out lol. I'm waiting for the birds to start hitting a field they usually go to in the afternoons so I can get a picture of our flock.

Wow! That will get you pumped. I bumped a flock when I was scouting two weekends ago, but I haven't seen them since. They were around regularly last fall, so I'm sure they're still here, just grouped up in a bottom somewhere.

You have no idea... how excited I am Will (okay maybe you do) :d

Hopefully we have something similar in front of our blind in a couple weeks! I'll let you shoot first, even though I'm older :d

I've been trying to pick out my bird from those pics all day... :d

Great pictures and they are helping shorten the time until turkey season opens here.
