Who all is hunting out west this season? Any tips for spot and stalk hunting? This season will be my first time hunting Western big game. I've got mule deer and pronghorn tags and will be hunting public land in Nebraska. Check out this video from the guys at Montana Wild, it has me all fired up! OOH! Me! I moved to Montana from Southeast Nebraska. If I want to I can go chase elk on Monday. I'm just worried that if I get one I won't get it out of the field in time to keep the meat from spoiling. On the other hand, it has been in the low fifties here in the mornings, and I am not in the mountains at all.
That is awesome! I think elk is next on the list planning on making that trip next year I think. The heat might be an issue but as long as you got the meat boned out and hung it should matter. Good luck!
Hopefully we catch some of the rut, the dates are a hair off this year but we should see some action.
Early archery in Nevada started Wednesday. As for advice on spot and stalk, good optics and a partner helps. Slow and steady
Kansas is great state. I will be out there the 12 days preceding thanksgiving. This is my third Kansas tag.
Very cool man! We are going to try for a Colorado elk hunt next year. Are you hunting on a OTC tag or a draw tag?
Are you hunting state land? I am going through rador lodge. Guy i work with it will be his 3rd time there he has got some really nice deer
