I'm supposed to work. If the forecast is good I might be off.

For the past 5 years I've had some of the best hunting on Halloween night here in NY. 2 bucks killed that night and atleast one good buck seen each year over that stretch. This year my college classes won't let me be out there. Oh the issues of growing up...

I will be hunting in Ohio Halloween Day. I have put down a lot of good bucks in the past on that day. It's seems to be the Day when all things begin to come alive in the woods.

Still yet to see our first frost/freeze here.

Going to have a lot of leaves still on the trees, generally have a good frost before Halloween, be lucky to have one by Thanksgiving at this rate.

Too bad you didn't ask about the last two weeks, if there is a late rut as some predict(moon cycles) then the weather will be a lot better.

Looking like Ol' man Winter might set up shop early, i haven't had a good snow sit in a few years, hopefully be able to get a few in December.

Less than 7 days til Halloween, cold front may be a little late to the party unfortunately.

I'll be out Oct 28-31, then Nov 3-14. Supposed to be 70 degrees for the Halloween weekend in Wisco. :(

I always try taking it off but depends on the wind. Will take a day or two off that week when the wind is favorable for my best stands.

Looks like Saturday will be in the 70's. Might start my season on Sunday. Locked in the 5th thru the 14th to hunt the rut; so far it looks okay.

I think the latter half of that will be the better part, I have the 4th trough the 13th.

In all honesty though, I really can't remember many ideal weather patterns early to mid November. I know the majority of my vacations and even gun seasons have been on the warmer side.

Yeah same here, it just seems last year that first week had days in the 70's if I remember right. This year it looks like high in the low 60's; which I will take.

Here's 2 forecasts for my area for Sunday night and Monday. Pulling for NOAA to be right, but the further west and sothwest you get the warmer it will be so expecting it to be mid 70's by the time it gets here, wouldn't mind a bit of fog to help hold the temp swing off late morning.

    NOAA

    Sunday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 50.

    Monday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.

    Intellicast

    Sunday night
Mostly clear. Low 56F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.

    Monday
Partly cloudy skies. High 77F. Winds S at 15 to 25 mph.
