I dunno, but I just had a HELL of an opportunity come up. If I can get the 3 days off that I need, I'm headed to the Buckeye state to hunt w/ Bob Foulkrod!! And the best part......this trip isn't gonna cost me a dime! Film crew, the whole enchilada. The only real bummer is the timing....It's the first 5 days of October, not exactly big buck time. But we'll see.

Greg, I'm really only going to run into one slight issue....I have to be there Oct. 1. The problem with that is my job. I have inventory the first of every month, and historically I don't stand a snow ball's chance in getting that day off. There are 2 days of the month I can't get.....the first and last.

But, I'm gonna do some serious sweet talkin Monday morning, and if that just doesn't work, we're gonna call them and see if we can schedule to get there 1 day later, and leave one day later.

Dang mobow, 43 posts already, you are back in form! Good luck in getting the time off, hope things work out for you.
As far as big buck goes, so many good hunters in good states to hunt to pick from, but if I only get one pick I would also choose Joey, heard he is closer to his hunting spot and will be able to spend more time in the game. But then he only has one tag, can he pass on a 150, a 160 to take Big Buck? I know I cant!

I think I'll go with GregH, he's my pick on HNI as well. The guy is just plain and simple an excellent deer/buck hunter whether one likes him or not. Biggest buck will score 182".

I got a feeling that Scott is gonna take it with a 200" buck. He has paid his dues and he definetly deservers it.

I have a feeling someone else has a better chance of winning it WITH one of Scott's 200" deer than he does.

I'll let you guys know after Greg and I review round 2 of our Illinois trail cam pictures. :moose:

Honestly.. I hate these polls. They are the exact thing I dislike most about HNI lately.. so much a popularity contest and nothing more.

I wish everyone luck this year and hope each one scores on a great deer.. regardless of location. And I actually mean that.. no BS.

    Whether you shoot a 100" whitetail or a 180".. who really cares..??

Dang Duke, This is the first one of these I ever picked someone and now ya went and made me feel bad.
I never like them for the simple reason of unintentionally hurting someones feelings that thinks they should have made the cut. I mean, there are at least 20 other people on here I could think of right off the top of my head, without going over the list, that I would give the same odds to. When in reality a first year rookie may get a 20 yard shot at a booner and as long as he dont vapor lock and be the new champ.
Im sure Greg/MO posted it in fun, and not to be taken so seriously.
So come on Dukester, lighten up some and come out and play with us.

Why does everyone always think I'm pissy and yelling.

I swear.. you guys have to meet me.

I take nothing seriously.. I just like to "bust balls" as JZ would say.

I know Greg/MO did it in fun.. nothing more. I just politely told the world I haven't liked the ways of HNI lately. Everyone trying to see who's the best hunter.. I just think it's lame. But I sure wasn't taking it seriously..

But just for you Sliverflicker.. I'll pick you.:deer:

Is that what we all wanted to hear.. I picked. I'm sorry for my first post. I have now followed you all like lemmings.. our next step is to take the leap!

    Word.

Now Duke, I know as I am sure you know picking someone for big buck is not saying they are the best deer hunter in the world or even this forum.
Sorry to have made a limming out of you, wont bother you no more.
Oh, thanks for the vote but should have saved it for someone that would not whack the first 8pt that score in the 130's, not much chance of one of them taking it!
