I know I have seen several posts about who will shoot the biggest this year. I am curious who everyone thinks will shoot the first? I know of several that will have a week or two head start on most of us but do you think it will pay off? And what is your opener date?

I'll say Fran. He's consistant and often strikes early in the season.

TJF or Shed - Timmay and Pottenger both work their butts off for those summer-pattern bucks. Both of them kick off their season early enough to make it happen.

Are you taking a cameraman along with you? If you get one would love to see it on film!

Well, are we just talking about deer? I'll be in Maine at the end of August hunting bear, so I could score there. For deer the earliest I'll be out will be the second week in September I believe.

Aug 29th opener, you should get to see allot of them in velvet. Last year there was some big bucks shot that 1st week. ND has some excellent bucks, I'll be heading there I think in December. Good luck out there!!

I think your right jmbuck, it does and he did. But then I think Hunsucker has taged one on the same day in Sept 2 or 3 years in a row.

It all depends on who has the earliest opening date and earliest time zone.
