    This trip took place in north west arkansas. The Illinois above tenkiller is only 30 mins from my home. We usually spend all summer between there and tenkiller.

    I have a cheapo ****s Sporting Goods kayak that I bought to try fishing and love it. Had I known its was so much fun I probably would have bought a high end kayak instead of my fishing boat. Our season opens Saturday and was planning on hitting Lake Geneva, but will go during the week to avoid the crowd. Plus 10 hours of OT helps me make up my mind.

    I wish I would have went high end now. My boat I have has done fine but now that I have tried out a few others out I want a different boat. I'm looking at the new wilderness systems ATAK or the Feel Free Lure. Both are super stable boats with tons of storage.

    Caught one 18" northern last night and that was all. Pan fish are not biting at all. Or I am not using the right thing.

    Headed up to Charlevoix, MI for a trout tournament dinner. We plan on doing some pre-fishing while we're up there and possibly going out for lakers. Warm weather is coming!
