This one could be good! :d

I spent quite a bit of time talking to Matt in the BowTech booth at the ATA show a couple months ago, and he told me then about his upcoming fight with Serra (he had JUST inked the deal, and the news wasn't even out yet  )

Matt told me he's really looking forward to the fight. Kinda cool listening to him talk about his wife's thoughts on the fight, too... He said she absolutely can't stand Serra, so this one's got the whole family's feelings involved.

    I can't wait!

I hope Hughes destroys him, because that would be an awesome end to an amazing career. Hughes is said to be retiring afterwards and just coaching.

My wife's favorite fighter is the man than comes out to Country Boy Can Survive...our household is one sided on this one. Hughes all the way!

Hughes without a doubt. Hughes hates Serra ten times more than Serra hates him. Serra is cocky and overconfident in his skills, I hope he gets his but handed to him in the first round.

This will be a great grudge match I am looking forward too. Trust me both of these guys are very confident. I am predicting Matt will win.

I can't make a Prediction but I PRAY Hughes mutilates Serra, I can't stand serra and Hughes is one of my all time favorites. I might have to buy this one.

Tribal- LOL I'll go against you and lay $500 saying Matt will win. :P

Kickin Buck sees him now and then at a bar he goes to and has said he is a stand up guy and nothing like some paint him to be. Guess he hunts a bit and is pretty laid back, a good ole boy like many of us. Serra on the other hand, NY can have that rat bastard.

Serra is not on the same level as Hughes, and I say that knowing fully tha Hughes is on the backside of his career. 20 someting title defenses in his prime....who does that anymore? Hughes is going to beast on him.

Serra imo was never anyting spectacular, I'll give him credit for his ko over GSP, even though I believe that was a complete fluke and the rematch between the two of them had showed that. Ouch, I'm pretty sure his ribs are still sore from the multiple knees to the ribs at the end of that one, remember, he was crouched over in a semi fetal/crawling position getting owned. That was good stuff.

Hughes all day and hope he still intros to Country Boy Can Survive!

Side note: Anyone see the news a couple weeks ago that Mask(the founder of TAPOUT clothing) wrecked his ferrari and died?

LoL, Your on bud. Honestly I see this going the distance with the decision going to Hughes. Serra will start gasing late in the 2nd round.

I did see that about the Tapout guy. Mask as he went by did a great job advocating the sport and sponsoring top and upcoming talent alike. Its a shame another Drunk driver and another life lost. I just wish people could be responsible when it comes to endangering the lives of others.

    Troy, good question.

Hughes was VERY down-to-earth, and very humble about what he's achieved. He'd be a guy I could hang out with and have a couple beers with any day... There was a guy who came by who you could just tell was a big MMA fan (you know the look, complete with the Tapout shirt...) with a couple little girls in a stroller with him. When I told him that Matt had been in our booth most of the morning and had just walked away, he about freaked. Later when Matt came back, he didn't want to bother him and wouldn't walk over and say 'Hi'. I went over and got Matt and told him he had someone over on the other side who wanted to say Hi to him but didn't want to be a bother. Matt immmediately walked over and introduced himself, and spent five minutes talking about the guy's children and paying attention to them. VERY class act.

Tim Sylvia hangs out at our booth a lot, too... and ...

Thats cool to hear, Matt H always seemed like hardnosed to me but a great guy, and I like hardnosed so it never bothered me much when he got some negative press (usually from serra) about Matt being cocky. If I could meet any of them and just hang out/go hunting with etc.. I think it would be with Randy, he is and always will be my favorite fighter, I think hes a class act. There are so many good guys in MMA its nice seeing that in such a competative sport. I get sick of the mouths in a lot of pro sports.. Most of these MMA fighters are flat out respectful.

Awesome pic bow tech  Hughs all the way, he has always been one of my favorites. Farm boy, only one state away, and brute strength. He has proven himself over and over again. Serra =(loud mouth)
