Another good game last night. Now I think the Phils. HAVE to beat Petite
(and who knows how Hammels is goimg to pitch) or they're in big trouble.

I think the winner of game 3 will likely win the series.

I'm liking the Yanks odds in Game 3. Pettite is a seasoned veteran with the most playoff wins ever! Hamels I hear doens't really have his stuff and is a bit of a head case. Yanks bats are bound to take off soon too.

One more note..... everyone is talking like Lee is unbeatable and that should be 3 wins for the Phils. Yes he is very good and looked almost unhittable. But, let's not forget the guy he's matching up against (Sabathia). I find it hard to believe he loses 3 times. He's not exactly a chump out there.

I'm sticking with my original pick, Yankees bats get hot and win in 5.

Lee is scheduled to pitch game 4 and game 7 (if necessary)

These comments are all around and just make me laugh... so what? NY has the money to spend on big name free agents... if your team had the money wouldn't you want them to try to build the best team that they could afford? My "hometown" team... the Pirates... is known to bring up some great talent and trade them as soon as they start putting up the numbers that will make them earn more money.... ask the Pirates fans if they would mind the owner blowing up the checkbook and keeping all of these players instead of trading them for new no-name talents.

Now... back to the series... I still see the Phillies winning... their line-up is tougher... NY's bullpen is VERY hit or miss, and I think that the Phillies starting pitching is more consistant. A.J.'s performance lastnight was amazing.... but I wouldn't count on that again.

That's what I thought too, but he's shceduled to pitch on 3 days rest.
That's how much confidence Charlie Manuel has in his closer.

I agree with Buck Magnet, Burnett won't get through the Phillies line -up
a second time only allowing 1 run. But then, Pedro might not be as effective
his next time out either. Who knows? 2 good teams= a good series.

Can't believe Lee won't be pitching game 4. Well I can believe it because he never has and apparantly can't. Yanks just got a huge advantage IMO. Sabathia vs. Blanton in game 4? I like that matchup. Game 3 just got really big for the Phils IMO. They lose tonight and CC will likely win tommorow the Phillies are in deep do do.

It'll be a tough row to hoe now for the Phils, but ... being an optimist, I'll have to go with Phillies in 6 ... lol.

Looks like a series again. I still say Yanks in 7. They'll dump game 6 because i think Girardi made a bonehead decision with the rotation. Why pitch Burnett, Pettite and Sabathia all on short rest? They should have threw Guadin in game 5 against Lee and take their chances in a game they would likely lose anyway. By doing that you get Burnett on full rest for 6 and CC in 7. Tough to beat that in NY. I think Girardi didn't want to take Pettite out of the loop with is stupid IMO. No other reason really.

I can do with out the drama of it going 7!! I hope we get 7 innings of quality pitching out of Andy.I am not confidant about that at all though.
Hopefully Cano and Texiera will remember how to hit tonight!

Pettite is a big game pitcher, more so than Pedro I'm afraid. I hope the Phils make it to a game 7 but I'm not very confident. Regardless, it has been a great series so far. My greatest hope lies in Pettites 3 days rest.
