Our local opener is 2 weeks from now.

Not matter how old I get or how many seasons are behind me, it is the same every year......like a kid waiting for Christmas.

In the meantime, I am trying (trying is the key word) to be as nice and attentive to all of my wife's honey-doos and requests so I will have a few "green stamps" and "get out of jail free cards" as I know I will need plenty of them over the course of the season.

Speaking of that.....I better go mow the grass one last time.....her car looks a little dirty, and then I guess the garage could stand a cleaning.

And over the course of the day I will be sure and get in at least 5 different versions of "You sure do look good today", or "are you sure you hadn't lost some weight....not that you need to" kinda of stuff.

This all part of my early season strategies and tactics. To heck with the wind.... just suck up to the wife.

Landon, I actually meant who's season will be starting ...;)

I will be in a zone that I can only shoot a buck ...AND he has to have at least 4 on one side ...so it should be a fun sit :)

Like I said in another thread ... I will have Mudshark drag my 150"er out for me :D

Yes you will need your climber and your bow arrows release knife broadheads license.
You can use my drag rope after I'm done with it.

2 weeks here as well to first real chance...quick hunt on Oct 2nd afternoon depending on temps...but Oct 3 Sat morning will be first real chance in a favored spot. Long range forecast don't look too bad at this point, but it's still tooo long range to pay any attention to.

Deer contest scores should start rackin' up come Oct...good times:)
