In my area, the deer would be running all over the place ... super high strung ... I would have to find some big state land and go deep like Grizz ... and to be honest, since meat is the most important thing for me, I would prolly just use pistol, shotgun, and muzzleloader if I could use any weapon ... at least until I filled the freezer

Do we know that to be certain? I'll use MI as an example, as I have never hunted NY. The regular firearm season here is 16 days. When you pack 700,000 hunters into a very short time period, you get all the craziness. If those same hunters could hunt over the period of 3 months, I don't think it would be as crazy. You will hunters that will hunt early in the season, some midway (rut, cooler weather), some late season, and some the whole season. Since most bowhunters also gun hunt, the total number of hunters really wouldn't increase. Once they have filled their tags or killed the desired number of deer, their hunting will be over for the year.

I think there is a misconception that if you extend the gun season, there will be the same amount of chaos.

I'm sure with each successive generational change within the music, the same argument could be made. What do you think the country artists of the 30s and 40s would have thought of the birth of "outlaw" country music?

In my next of the woods, with a 2.5 month gun season, I have found it to be most chaotic from opening day through end of Nov. The hunting slows way down come Dec.

Damn thats a short season! And people here complain MI's is only 3 months, in which a bow can be used each day of the season.

Keith is just a little light in the loafers. Weak voice. He's just following the beat of a lot of other new country stars. I just look at the ladies in their leather pants anymore and enjoy. LOL

I'm glad I am not a music genre snob.
I don't care what station is playing it, what so called genre it may or may not be in, I judge every song based on the actual sounds I hear. If I like the sounds I keep listening and if I don't I hit the little button that brings up news sounds for me to listen to & I'll either continue to listen or hit the button again. No worry involved.

Yep, I can (and do) listen to a little bit of everything. I don't care what genre it may fall under.

Wasn't how I took it T. No, YOU lighten up.:nana::p:ninja:

On the real, I kinda agree that too much gets made of genres at times. If it's good music, it's good if it's on a Top 40 station or the country station.

    Screw country music...

This is the stuff i want to listen to all day:

    http://youtu.be/DPVTl9K0lqc

    On a serious note...

I think the bigger issue here is sellouts. Take late 90's, early 2K superstars (Toby Keith, Tim McGraw for the most part) and listen to thier music now. I cant believe the same guy who released "Red Rag Top" would ever release "Do you want fries with that"

I'd rather listen to Keith Urban 10-1 over Rascal Flatts. How they got a country record I don't know.
