I wish Illinois would open up our season to crossbows. I'd buy one and use it just to upset all of you elitist b-dags.

Its not real country. Its not real bowhunting. Geez PT, can't we all just play together? Do we have to segregate into groups? Where is one big happy family? Aren't we all just brothers from another mother?

Now, lets all sing in harmony...

So you all for just one season? Xbows, compounds, traditional, guns? If not, then you are hypocrites ;)

It honestly wouldn't bother me. If anything, it would spread out the pressure. Might be a good thing! You're on to something PT!

Yes, I have been for a long time. A certain number of tags per weapon, based on the efficiency of the weapon.

Once rifle season opens in GA on Oct 15, you can hunt with any weapon through the close of the season. Archery opens Sep 10, Muzzleloader on Oct 8, then Rifle on Oct 15.

If they did that, I would go with the flow ... and not complain, but bow hunting would never be the same .... now what if you got a certain # of tags to be filled with the weapon of your choice ... why not if we are gonna just sit around hugging eacjother and sing Kumbaya?

I have been to CMA fest in Nashville the last 3-4 years and I have yet to see Taylor Swift "actually" play her guitar. She maybe moves her hand 3 times throughout the whole song... And 2 years ago she was in the middle of a song and started coughing but yet she was magically still singing... I have never liked her much but that made it permanent.

As far as the "new country" topic goes, I like certain songs. Early Jason aldean before he started singing"pop" songs, was really good. Eric church is good, jamey johnson is really good, there are a few new artist out there stickin with the older style of country but I dont think it will ever be as good as it was in the 90's. Thats solid gold!!!! :hail:

I just assumed thats how it would be. If they did go to all weapons for the season, I would like to see a one buck rule. If not, no biggie, but I think it would be nice. Instead of deer getting absolutely pounded during the 2 week gun season here, during the rut, maybe more hunters would get out earlier, fill their tags, and not be in the woods later in the year. Might also prevent the guys setting up their blinds at the last minute. All the increase in human activity right before gun season starts, and then during it, effects the deer for some time. Spread out the pressure and it might improve the hunting...at least in the areas I hunt.

Why just pick on Urban and Swift?

You could say the same thing about 95% of the "country music" you hear on the radio today.

    It is what it is...
