The only thing I need to do yet is to broadcast some winter rye into the areas that are not growing well.

I'm planning to put in a couple small ones. Only because I have some seed left over. Hoping to get them done this weekend.

Oh holy crap....i have a ton of them to plant yet. I have over 2000+ pounds on hand and another 1200 pounds of seed on the way, should be here today or tomorrow. I still have a ton of site prep to do yet too. I have about 45 acres left to plant...

Combination of way too wet weather and new properties to manage....should get done in the next two weeks. I'm planting Rye, wheat, crimson clover, forage brassica, buckwheat, chicory, jap and browntop millets and winter pea.

I've got food plots to water Tom, since we can't seem to get any rain!! Going to get creative and use a trash pump to pump water from the creek into my plots... We shall see!

All done on my end except my garden next to the house I turn into a mini food plot.
Maybe broadcast some left over winter rye and broadcast/spray fertilizer on my brassica plots. I just got done fertilizing my clover/brassica plots this week.

Waiting on the loggers to finish up so I can plant mine. Got some turnips and radishes to get in. And going to plant wheat/oats on all the logging roads to keep them from washing ditches and as bonus food plots.

They are also clearing me small plot in the middle of my woods to plant this fall.

I have 5 plots totalling about 8 acres that are sprayed. But, we are in a terrible drought and I am waiting to see if there is any chance of rain. I will still plant something eventually, but it may just be some winter rye and wheat. Really tough right now. A buddy of mine is using a pump and several hundred feet of 2" hose to throw some water on a food plot. This is the second year in a row of horribly dry conditions when I need to have plots going.

One looks really good. Another looks ok and the 3rd looks like crap with weeds growing in it. I may replant the but I wish I had a rototiller so I could do the small areas in the plot with the weeds. Seems like a waste to redo the whole plot.

I will be doing some fertilizing tomorrow. My annual plots are 4 and 6" high respectively. Also need to setup 3 or 4 stands.
