I wish I could play hookey. I am really slow at work so its not like I would be shirking any sort of responsibility, but even though we are salaray and get paid the same if we worked 30 hrs or 90 hrs, they would still rather see you sit there and do nothing than leave.

I'd say that's acceptable! I save up the majority of my vacation time for this part of the year. We're starting to see a little bit of movement here in Wisconsin. What an exciting time to be a bow hunter!

Good luck to everybody who is feeling a little sick.

I save both vacation and sick days for use during the season. I had to use a sick day last week because my daughter was sick. I told my boss it was a shame to waste a sick day during hunting season because someone is sick! I told him I'll be sick on 11-14-08 as well. Thats aFriday and should be the peak of the rut in east Tx.

That class is so boring, it's hard to go anyway. I loved calc 1-3, but this is really boring. I'm just taking it to get a math minor. I do get kinda lost when I go back on Mondays and I have to make up for it in the library.

Not really playing hooky but I took voluntary layoff this week. Will take a hit in pay but the time off and enjoying the woods is worth it!
