I am interested in how many people hunt in their home state and how many people hunt in other states. If you know or expect what state you will hunt in and for what species, indicate that too!

I'm going Turkey Hunting in a National Forest in Northern Va. in either April or May.

We are going to camp out, so I'm thinkin I'll do a 3 day for around 5 hundred.

When I leave my home state of Ohio, I hunt public lands. I really only hunt whitetail.

Ill likely hunt Alaska and Arizona this year..both DIY public land hunts. May find myself in GA chasin gators DIY, but it would take a miracle to pull that tag this soon. Alabama for turkey here in 2 months, friend's private land DIY.

I'll spend around $5k total on hunting this year....won't make hardly any whitetail gear upgrades so that I can pull off these out of state trips. I'd honestly give up a month of sitting in a treestand here for 2 weeks hunting somewhere across the country for a different species. Different strokes for different folks.

I don't have enough money to hunt out of state right now. Once I graduate I'd like to go on an elk hunt and possibly a hog hunt. I'd also be interested in trying for a grand-slam with turkeys.

Last year I went to IL for a semi guided hunt. I intend to do it again this year.

I'm going to MO for a hog hunt. Crashing at a friends house, so just a hunting license, some food, beer, gas money. Maybe $75-100?

I've had pretty good luck so far. I've taken 7 in the 10 years I've been hunting them. I'd probably use a shotgun for the grand slam, just because I'd want to increase my chances of success with how much money it would cost me. I don't even care if it is all in one year that I would do it. I'd just like to get a mount done of each turkey species at some point.

The only thing for certain at this point is Ohio. I'll hunt turkeys & whitetails over there.

I'd love to hunt elk again, if not, I still want to try and plan some type of trip even if its just a few day turkey hunt somewhere.

I hope to hunt Nebraska next season. I had plans to do that this year but they fell through. It will be a DIY hunt on farms a friend has permission to hunt. No lease, just knock-on-door permission. It should cost around $600-$700 for 5 days.

No out-of-state hunts planned right now. Though I do have to pay to hunt within this stupid state. :bash:

I do plan on going to KY for some bowfishing this summer.

    That's it.

I've got a few options on the table on hunting whitetails out of state. I don't know yet what I'm going to do. Money Is super tight right now and It might get worse. We'll see I guess.
