Just curious who all pee's in a scrape?

I drink extra when I am checking my cameras over scrapes so I can [IMG] in as many scrapes as possible. It is crazy how many bucks work it after that.

I know it works, but I just don't do it. I've seen pictures of some real giants hit scrapes after guys have peed in them though.

I'm known to do it..although I don't use human pee when hunting. Reason being that when I'm hunting I don't ever want to do anything that may even have the slight possibility of spooking a big dominant buck. All urine turns into ammonia with time and smells for the most part the same. However, if I'm doin a morning hunt or hunting over a scrape that's when I bust out the S&P Deer Scents. Frozen minutes after collection I can defrost it under some warm water and be puttin in on the scrape to simulate an extremely fresh scrape. Now I'm not saying this is the only way to succeed, to me it's just what I do as I try to harvest a dominant buck.

Will deer visit human pee, sure thing. Will they do it during daylight and not be skidish...our trail cams show unless during the extreme point right before the rut the odds are no...lot of night time activity.

If you see a scrape putting any kind of pee in it is better than putting nothing, which is the mistake thousands of hunters make every year.

I have never done it, and I was always taught to never go anywhere near a place you hope to take a deer. Until the last few months on this site, I had never heard of it.

What is the real answer? wizz or not to wizz?

I [IMG] In the scrapes around my area at time but I also use a scrape mate. I did notice that more mature bucks seem to hit them more often after I do.
But then I ask myself while im in the tree why do I [IMG] in a bottle

Like I stated. I've done both. I'll pee in scrapes that I find, but rarely when I'm planning on hunting soon after. Just can't come to believe it won't possibly scare dominant bucks away. Like broadheads though, some guys swear by it blindly, swear by it due to success and other swear against it blindly, and swear against due to no success.

I do all the time. It's fun to think about "pissing" off a the deer in the area. I think the most important thing is to keep your own human scent to a minimum anytime you are close to or peeing in a scrape. Rubber boots, don't brush up against or touch anything around the scrape area while you're doing your business.

I do, and plan on making my own scent drippers from snapple bottles (holds more urine) and fill with a saved human scent vinilla extract mixture. I like to experiment, I'm looking forward to seeing the next White Knuckle video and see if they have any more information on horizontal rubs, another thing I would like to play with in the future!

I think someone started a thread on this a while back. There was a study in MN last season where they used buck, human, doe, and red fox urine. The scent that had the most visits was the buck urine, then with almost as visits was the human urine, then pretty far behind was doe urine, then in last place was red fox.

    Just my .02

Letting it rip from 20'+ high is one of the joys of bowhunting.

And, yes, I pee in scrapes. Although I hate when you start, then stop to hit another scrape 10' over, and then have to start again. I can't stop once I've started, it stings.

Never done that... Have gone in the woods a couple hundred yards from my stand, only to see deer milling around after going #1 and #2. Never been sure enough that I had discovered something to start doing it.

Okay Question: If ALL urine turns to ammonia, is "doe in heat" pee any different than any other pee? If not, what gives with all the choices?
