    A guy local to me makes it yearly, I pick up a gallon off him ...really like dealing locally

    Last year was my first time and really enjoyed it and the syrup turned out awesome!

    My father in-law and I usually do it. Been a little cold here yet in Wisconsin but people are already tapping trees. We boil the sap over a wood fire and I love the smoky flavor the syrup gets from the fire. Liquid gold if you ask me. Nothing better than homemade maple syrup and homemade buttermilk pancakes. I swear if you make syrup and harvest some morals and ginseng and sell it all you can make a pretty decent living.

    I'm jealous of yuall that can make it yourselves and in your honor, I'll be making Sunday morning buttermilk pancakes with pure Maple syrup!

    Sat year was the first time I ever tried. I only made a half gallon last year but this year I am hoping to make several!
