I didn't pay special attention to the brands mentioned. It was the notion that one is inherently "better".....and the attitudes exhibited by their owners (with most times NO validity) that struck me as humorous.

No Jeff not at all. I personally think what I shoot is the best or I would own something else. On the other hand I see all the Bow Techies on here, I personally know one bowtech owner. Thats It. Very few shops that promote them in this neck of the woods. As far as attitudes go I can think of a few of the "holier-than-thou" attitudes around here that are pretty humorous.;)

Exactly what is your basis for comparison? Bang for the buck? Weight? Speed? Hearsay?

If "very few shops promote them", then have you actually been behind the wheel for a test drive? How many brands/bows have you had in your hands?

Agreed, and now that you have admitted this thread was all about brand recognition, and that you own the "top dog", I ask again, why is this important? should I be dropping to my knees before you?

Seriously Teejay, I hope your bow gives you all the confidence in the world. I hope you go forth and show the rest of us that your bow, in it's skilled owner's hands, is "all that"! For me, actions always speak louder than words. I wish you the very best.

    Will,

Your reading Into TJ's post/thread too much. I know the guy. He could care less what others shoot. I think he got what he was after In this thread (what brands are In everyone's area's).

What exactly did I do to pick this fight? But ok here goes. Before I bought this Monster, no I didnt shoot any others. I was offered a smoking deal in trade for my Drenalin on a Monster only. I shot it said OK wrap it up. When I bought my Drenalin I shot everything short of Ganders Guide series. I actually almost switched to Ross. Had they had anything for customer service I would have! As far as this thread once again WTF it is a time killer, my bad good god! To be honest I personally dont have to prove Jack chit to you or anyone else. Or do I? If this is the case I really think there is a pile of us better start posting some serious results. No more eaten tags we are all going to start shooting the first 75" 7 point that presents itself. Im done. You win, what I dont know but you win.

Hell Stevie, I do not know TJ from Adam, nor do I want to fight with him. If he is an archer, then he's good enough for me, period. The point I am trying to make is simple. If you want to ask, "what brands are in everyone's area's", then ask. But leave the "top dog" "chit" out of the question. That's all. How could anyone read more into a question like that?

This Is the problem with the compound world. People get weird with this stuff when someone asked a question like this, why? Not pointing fingers at anyone Will. Just read all the threads on the BowTech as of late. Gets sickening.

    True dat.

It seems to me.. this is just a big misunderstanding of what the original thread starter meant.. and what some posters thought he meant. No biggie.. as usual.

My answer to the original Q is... I have no idea. I rarely spend time in pro-shops.. I see 1 guy for my bi-yearly needs and then vanish once again. Plus.. its always very 'clique' like in pro-shops.. I swear everyone thinks I've never shot a deer before.:(

Well I would have to say that Bowtech and Mathews are the most popular around here, but at local bow shoots you'll see just about every make and model out there. The options are out there, but Bowtech and Mathews get most of the support.

I only know two other guys that bowhunt (that live near me) and I either got their bows for them or recommended the bow they bought LOL. All of us currently shoot Bowtech bows. I was looking at an AM 35 but decided to stand pat this year although I recently bought my wife an Equalizer.

Man...I hope you didn't take my post, personally. ALL I was referring to....is WIll's post pointing out that "some" are over the top with their "pride of ownership". I'm sure most everyone feels their choice is "best". And it likely is...............for them. Why people feel the desire to say "mine is best......and imply that anything else is inferior" is beyond me. That's all I was saying.

I've owned a Mathews and loved it! I've also owne a Jennings and a PSE.....and they were good bows. I even owned a Browning bow that my son shot.....and it was a great little bow. I've owned several BT's....and I loved them, too. In the trad. realm..... I've owned a Bear longbow....2 Mohawk longbows.....1 RER recurve.....and my current Schafer Silvertip (with my second Silvertip on order....that will be here in March).

I think it has less to do with how one feels, internally......and how they express those feelings, externally.

I hope everyone thinks their equipment choices are the "best". Confidence is cool.

    Hear. Hear.
