I'm with the MD guy unlimited antlerless deer and I can hunt sept till end of March (I'm in Virginia). That being said I got 5 so far this year and I donated my biggest. So 2 does and 2 bucks in my freezer probably around 150lbs of meat and I'm probably just under 90lbs left

isn't it hard to skin a March deer without getting hair all over the meat?

My husband got a fat 1.5 year old muley. (no picture because it took a 2990 fps bullet to the head)

Then I got this colorado muley doe.

So we're good for a couple more months. We do eat a lot of meat.

My husband will grill outside while it's snowing and the guys will stand out there with him and drink beer. Why not?

Oops, I just noticed you live in Alabama and miss all the fun stuff.

He just finished clearing our walks with the snow blower. We're supposed to get seven to fifteen inches. He wanted to get a head start. He also did both our next door neighbors and the lady across the street. The girls are hoping for enough for another snow cave in the back yard.

Killed 3 this year but gave one away. So I'm sitting pretty good. Got a bunch of sticks and brats made up too. Like few others said just waiting on grilling weather.

We can kill 6 deer per hunter here in NC.(4 Bucks and 2 Does in my area) Trust me when I say that very few ever hit that total in 3 years, let alone 1 year.
Most I have killed in one year is 9. I have a Depredation Permit I get for one farmer starting in March and it goes until late August.

I am good on venison for now. It should last me until Summer.

We have 12 quarts of canned out of a total of 17 total from one deer. I am at this minute watching the opening ceremonies of the Super Bowl totally ENJOYING a homemade pizza my wife made topped with it, veggies and cheese... mmmmmmmmm

Living in South Africa our hunting season only starts in May this year.
This will be my first season with a bow.
I never shoot to a bag limit, I shoot to what I can afford and this year its 1 warthog and one impala/blesbok.
Will be making biltong and droewors from the impala/blesbok and sausage from the warthog.

I didn't get any this year, but I have a few good buddies that got some so I got a few steaks from them. It works out well since my wife doesn't eat venison, but I would rather have a full freezer.
