Did an inventory yesterday and it is depressing, my venison supply is starting to run low. Granted I can shoot only 1 deer a season but sucks that it is February and I only have enough for a half dozen venison meals.

We didn't get a deer this year. So it will be seafood, pigmeat, eggs, and chicken. We'll have a little beef if the price ever gets reasonable again.

    We'll survive.

I have a tough time believing 5 deer for every hunter is sustainable...NY?? Really?

NY is abysmal. I rarely hunt my land here.

I have about 90 lbs left. Shot a heavy deer last season.

We've put up roughly 6 this year compared to the 10 last year. I say roughly because we ate some of it as soon as we got it. For whatever reason we haven't been eating it has much as we did last year. So right now we are good.

My daughter brought a bunch back to school with her, she is really into the health aspect of eating venison. Her roomates really like it too. I guess I taught her how to cook it right.

We have unlimited doe tags with bow in most areas of my state (MD). Play the seasons right with each weapon and you can legally take something like 36 deer before you even get into the unlimited does.

I limited myself to 1 deer this year with our deer populations down. My levels are pretty low, but I'm rationing it out. I'll run out early this summer when it's warm enough to grill again.

Yeah I'm starting to question MDDNR on the bag limits. The unlimited doe tags don't bother me so much but a total of 4 antlered deer? Not to mention the BB that get killed. Our buck/doe ratio is already way out of wack around me.

No deer for me this year. Freezer is rather light. I did make up for it with goose and duck. Still have plenty and heading back to lake Anna this coming weekend to put a hurting on some honkers... Hopefully...

Still have about 10 lbs of whitetail left, an entire mule deer, and 20-30 lbs of elk. I too am waiting for grilling weather to use up most of it. The italian and breakfast elk sausages don't stand a chance of lasting that long though.

I enjoy the social aspect of grilling out... beers on ice, people hanging out on the deck, etc...

Good luck finding that in a snow storm. haha

Problem is when we have venison we do not buy beef because we prefer venison. I need to put some pressure on my friend to finish up my sticks, hotdogs, and ground venison. I put up 55 pounds to be ground and made into stuff hopefully I get 100 pounds of product.
