I can tell you I definately am, I am trying to find a new piece of ground to hunt this season and I cant wait to get out there and start hanging sets and cameras. I cant believe its this early and its already driving me nuts. My wife thinks im a lunitic, and im lucky if im still married by july, but I gotta be honest this is all I think about anymore. I want so badly like everyone else on here to set up the perfect set in the most perfect little funnel and catch a giant mature whitetail strolling past my stand in daylight hours.

Yeah it's a little early for me to be going nuts yet. Am I looking forward to the season? Of course. Am I taking care of things in my life right now that I ignore in the fall? You bet.

I need to get out and do more scouting. Only been out once for far this spring. Hope to in two weeks.

I can't wait. The fire is burning very very early this year. I think the older I get, the faster the fire burns. I'm not sure why.

I'm pacing myself this year. Not going too crazy too early and trying to save my brownie points for fall. :D

I think I'm most excited right now about tuning my new bow and getting it shooting perfect before the GTG so I can whoop on some of these boys. :tu:

I'm already thinking about it all day again, searching for better places to hunt, and shooting my bow even all hours of the night. Neighbors probably think I'm crazy.

I get "the itch" a week or two after bow season closes, every year. I admittedly spend too much time planning and prepping, going over things over and over again, until season starts.

Sure I can go ice fishing, shoot my bow 150 times every night in my basement at 10 yards, look at horn porn on the internet, but nothing comes close to the feeling I get when I climb up into the stand on opening morning.

Finally went out this past Sat and shot my bow. Man it feels good to get outside and let some arrows fly. Although I miss hunting, I tell ya I can't wait for the warmer weather to finally arrive. This winter has been too long.

I usually don't get the itch until late July-ish. That's when I can start feeling the fall air move in during the nights!:tu:

Was doing fine until I shot the Techno-Hunt at the new archery shop........ NOW, I am off the chain !!! Something about shooting at moving LIVE deer on a screen in the dark and seeing your shots that will absolutely push you over the edge !!! Wish I never did that... Now, every Saturday, the wife and I shoot 2 different 30 minute sessions with our bows...

Getting the "itch" for deer season? Absolutely not. There's too much to life to just look forward to just a few months. I'll be enjoying food plot prep/mowing/fly fishing/turkey hunting/vacations with the wife/home remodeling, etc in the meantime.

Will I be happy when the season rolls around? Absolutely. There's plenty to enjoy between now and then, though.

Probably more than ever before, we have already got one property prep'd for the fall and I'm going to go scout another property this weekend while turkey hunting. Thank goodness for golf season, it will help keep me sane for the next 5 months.

I've been humbled the past 2 seasons so im taking it slow. Plus I have 2 boys that seem to be
growing way to fast so I quit wishing for dates to get here.

I've barely got the itch to start fishing, let alone for archery season.

I thought the itch I have was from that rash.... Anyways, been prepping like crazy lately. Just submitted applications last evening for IL gun trying to get into some outrageously good public land that my hunting partner and I have been denied since we started hunting together about 5 years ago.

Been shooting the bow outside even in the those 20-25 MPH wind days. Last weekend shot mostly from 50 yards (not a windy day) then moved in from there. That 20 yard shot is a "chip shot" after taking 40-50 shots at 50 yards!! Will not attempt that 50 yarder on a deer, but definitely hones the skills. The WI land is ready to go. Landowner does not allow food plots so just cleared trails and re-hung stands. IL...well lost access to land of 23 years Dec 1st so am actively looking for local land to hunt.

Took care of the "brownie points" also by sending the spouse (alone) to visit a friend in Dallas next month mixed with a new, overly priced bike and some outrageously priced fitness program. All of that will equal some quality time spent in the woods in the Fall and hopefully another taxidermy bill in the Spring of 2012!!

I really have the itch to get all my prep work done and continue shooting my bow. I have been scouting, looking for new land, prepping food plots, and shooting my bow quite a bit. As far as getting up in the stand to hunt, not yet. I am still enjoying not getting up at 3:00 am to go hunting. I have also gotten back on track with my daily weights and cardio, which always ends on October 1st and picks back up sometime around March. Priorties first, right guys??? :):):)

I believe I am going to get in some bass fishing here on Friday so that will be nice. As for bowhunting, I am always thinking about it. I have an internal itch I have to constantly regulate or risk burn out. :) I constantly think that one day by the grace of God that something like this will walk past my stand....
