We just finished another round of antibody testing in house. To say the results were disheartening is an understatement. False confirmed negatives were present at a high rate , it all has to make you wonder and i cant see how you can have any Data that is worth anything statistically at this point. Another of our guys just got sick and came up positive, he couple days into so far. Hopefully it stays mild for him as he is only three days into it.

We had 3 guys get spit on, bitten, and yes, licked by a guy who said he had covid afterwards. Took the testing process 8 days for them to find out he was negative. 8 days.

    So were these coworkers?

Were they randomly tested the first time or was it symptomatic cause for testing.

How do they determine the antibodies are Covid-19 and not say old SARS or MERS antibodies? I haven't researched antibodies so a bit curious on why so many antibody tests are coming back have already having it. Do antibidies disappear after a certain time so having them means you were infected recently?

Sorry, kinda started thinking out loud as I was asking

And when the police come to talk to me about it, I will say a buddy in law enforcement suggested it. Better to scare the kids straight than to trust the rehabilitation skills of the prison system.

They, including me were all chosen because we either been tested negative ( never showed symptoms) and had known exposures. Or they were tested positives had symptoms, and where treated for the infection. Treatment ranged from doing nothing to several icu stays and one person that is still having some longer term issues. He is like 4 weeks in at this point.

I would assume that the antibodies test for covid 19 are specific for the disease and the antibody test is to show a past immune response to the presence of the virus. Antibodies should remain present, however that is no guarantee of immunity.

The control had only one positive result among the negative group. And two negative results from the confirmed positive groups. My understanding that similar results were born out in the larger sample we where a part of. In short we garned no conclusions.

I’m in the same boat, except I’ve been looking into getting lasik surgery. Not sure if I will or won’t.

Dammit man Lasik!!!! I can't say enough good things about it. My eyes were almost walleye style (-9) and I'm 2020 now and it was quick and painless.

I've been debating it for years. My biggest fear is 1) they botch it 2) I know it works but I question for how long and if in the long run it does more harm than good 3) I have astigmatism in my right eye and I've discussed it with one of these laser eye guys but I'm still hesitant.

Not at all, just remembered it stated that it had failed, yet the fail was given by the WHO and China and my skepticism to accept "their" word on it.

I just want one of these remedies to work, for the world. I want the Chinese leadership exposed for the vile scum they are. They single handedly buckled the world and accept no accountability for it. I want harsh consequences for their regime.

I don't care who is/was presidentx the numbers here would be no better than they are currently. I say that with the same confidence/knowledge someone else saying otherwise would have.

Testing is not a cure nor is it a remedy, it wouldn't have changed the deathrate or controlled the spread. Hell, IMO widespread testing would have likely lowered the deathrate by eliminating some of the inclusion numbers.

It is what it is, China is to blame and when a treatment and eventually vaccine is readily available I hope the world as a whole brings the wrath down on China's regime.

Wouldn't mind seeing some manmade islands turned into new reefs.

Number 2 is my biggest, I'm 36 now so I could just as easily be back to wearing glasses in 10-15 years. I'm not sure the inconvenience is worth the cost. I've got contacts but hardly ever wear them. Never could get into the habit of waking up in the morning and putting them in. Plus I've found I'm not really all that big on sunglasses, got a really nice pair of wileyx that would work for job but just not a fan.

My sister had it done more than 10 years ago when it was damn expensive. She says best money she ever spent. No issues at all. And the tech is better now.

After this post I will not speak of covid today. And I will not read an article on it either. Taking a one day break.

Another 3.8m new jobless claims, which rough puts us at 30m job losses. Pretty darn ose to the original 32m swag floated.

As one person noted, ongoing weeks will be volatile as some businesses/states reopen while others persist and other industries are affected.

Take that 30 million unemployment claims, $600 bonus gov. check with roughly 10 weeks left(if not extended) and that is over $750 billions dollars for that one sneak in alone. Doesn't include the 4 weeks it has been in effect, so probably closer to a trillion in the end.

Pretty sure that would be more than 10-15 times what Germ's feared Cruise bailout would have cost. Which has yet to happen.

God forbid Americans on the lower end got a little extra, oh the horror. Being they lost their job because our Government had their collective heads up their ass, I am fine with it.

If you want to bailout non-American companies go-ahead, next you'll want to give illegal's benefits

Nice try on the spin. I was never fornnor againat a cruise bailout because other than a mention after being asked in a presser it was nevee on the table. Once someone posted a link tonan article where Trump was opposed, he was your guy again.

You were more concerned with the price of the bailout for the cruises that never happened.

As things are opening back up suspend the $600 for anyone that is offered their job back and refuses.

This is going to get a lot worse than it is now when people cry they have to go back to work making less than they are now.

You're getting a taste of your socialistic dream and it will soon be the Democrat platform.

Between two of us who has gotten a government check and spent other people money for themselves?

Here's a clue, not this guy.
