State gas tax is 38 cents, doubled under Pritzker so without the doubling of tax would be looking at $1.11, without any gas tax would be 91 cents a gallon.

OK I watch Fox. I don't agree with everything and some on there drive me wild but today Ainsley on Fox and Friends tweaked me. WTH I don't want to hear you WHINE because the boarder shut down may effect your Au pair that you need so badly. REALLY? Open up your F....ing purse string and pay a little extra for an American trained nanny.
Sorry for harshness but man that was slap worthy

So the comparison of Florida to NYS and how Florida had been predicted to be worse than NYS due to all of the elderly. Apparently no one has learned anything on the reason for NYC areas spread.
MASS TRANSIT. workers coming in on trains daily back and forth, the subway system, the buses, the taxis. Now whats the difference between Florida and NY?

The 19 cents doubled state tax is the only one that pisses me off personally. That and jacking my boat trailer fee from $18 to $118, truck plates from $101 to $151 all the while motorcycles stayed the same.

Starting to turn more into political or rant so I'll end it there.

OK stopped raining so this is my last one.
Hubby read CDC says, no need to clean commercial food packaging. Please someone go there and start firing for stupidity. When did groceries start stacking themselves on to the shelves? When's the last time these brain farts went to a grocery store to see some twit manhandling the front 6 packages to get to the last one " no one else touch" . Every time I see this or hear this stuff I feel brains cell die from sheer sadness

I quit buying a newspaper because people will pick up a paper and look at it with zero intention of purchasing it. It does save me from a melt down. If I am sitting in the break room eating and reading the paper and you come in the room and try to start a conversation and look at me like I am the ass when I say talk to me when I am done. Or heaven forbid if somebody tries to read over my shoulder, or waltz up and just pick up a section. I also run the paper thru the shredder when I am done because I would find sections of the news paper in the restroom. Nobody gets paid to read the paper and **** at work.

While it may just be her nanny.. I saw an Ag report out of Georgia and farmers have vegetable and berry crops rotting in the field because the South and Central American migrant work force has been held up for weeks. I think I spit my coffee out through my nose when the interviewer asked the farmer why he doesn't just use local labor. The look on the farmers face said all you needed to know. It's the same with my industry, roofing. Fortunately, most all of my crews are local Latino born and raised in OKC but I can almost guarantee they're going to break that labor price off in my a$$ this summer if we don't have the competing migrant labor. And sitting here watching a weather pattern setting up like the most profitable storm I ever worked, April 26th, 2013, today.. Oh well, if the cap breaks and we have baseball size hail, I'm sure we will have every stormer in the nation here screwing it all up anyway..

News reports I have seen on the strawberries and such going unharvested isn't due to labor concerns, it's due to demand. It's cheaper for them to leave innthe ground than it is to pay for them to harvest only for it to rot waiting for purchase. Just like dumping 1000's of gallons of milk.

Restaraunts being shut down is the number one culprit of most of it.

Local strawberry farmer is doing a booming biz. They set up cart each year in the next town over. Sat, they sold out in about 30 minutes. My wife picked up 2+Gal today to split with our kids...
maybe I can talk her into making some sour cream pound cake... Gotta go.

Most of them. I know guys that work at tree farms and nurseries here that have been doing this for over thirty years. Come up here and work the season and then go back to Mexico and work their own farms. Same with roofers.

Hell I think I thing we should fire all employees except for the skilled and technical and reduce labor costs, we have never laid anyone off but heck we can start, profits will soar. I will just explain we are diversifying the workforce.

Heck, most Fortune 500 companies already outsource a lot of technical and skilled labor to reduce costs. There are people from India (or numerous other locations) working for a fraction of US labor...

I call this balance sheet crack. Once execs start, they can't stop. I usually have to remind them of the risks...

The lunacy is increasing. We arrest a guy that works for a health organization. After spitting on and licking officers during the arrest, he tells them his coworker has covid and he has symptoms. He also says he now hopes the officers are infected. Wrong move. 9 felony counts later I dont think he is gonna think it is too funny. Moron.
