Had to go to get water and staples. So many with no masks . I FINALLY found TP on the shelves just 2 18 packs . I took just one. But as I stood in parking lot bleaching each item before packing in the car, people walked by smirking. I have watched people touching several packs as they choose an item. touching all kinds of things as they went through the store and then returning carts and no one cleaning handles. Then I'm sure they are wondering how their county cases are dbling every other day and the deaths are the same every week.
I went to the Piggly Wiggly yesterday and pretty much everything, including sanitizer and paper products, was at full stock. The only thing thing I found that they were running low on was Beefaroni. Somebody completely cleaned them out - didn't even leave behind one can. They did have 2 or 3 cans of "Big Beefaroni" but that kind is gross... doesn't even have the same taste and those big sausage size noodles are just strange.
How does this escape everyone else? I don't personally wear a mask because I don't have goggles and the odds of the mask working and it not going in your eyes are low. But I sanitize allot when I go in a store and everything gets wiped down going in the car and resealable's get another hit when we go to put it in the pantry.
I bet he uses the app(like lots) and since it's dead you have to visit other ways or take a break.... It's Murphy's law that Sota is out but @Germ is making updates every 15 mins
I have prescription glasses.. Still have a dry cough from that flu incident. I actually think the original cough during it damaged my throat. Anyhow mask for that BUT had an old acquaintance stop me in store,we bought hay from him years ago. No mask and as he talked I fixated on the spittle building on the corners of his mouth. WTH! I took mask and my glasses off at car and bleached them before going home.
I don't wear a mask or gloves when I go into stores. I don't shop either. I go in knowing what I want, grab it and leave. Part of my comfortability with it is the cases have remained low here, they did not update yesterdat due to Easter but we had 2 days in a row with no new cases and additional recoveries. We have(had) 24 cases county wide. Thise in the 2 hospitals here are non county residents. My city has 119,000 residents. Being between Chicago and St. Louis with the the Abraham Lincoln museum and Library as well as other Lincoln tourist sites I think numbers are pretty good. I'm more concerned with mail than I am store products. Junkmail has not been cut down and that's a shame in and of itself.
My mail all gets bleached as well. Told hubby whats inside is his job. Junk mail goes right to burning bag for later. You may not be shopping but the people before you may have been. I'm a watcher, it is literally crazy how people touch so many packages they do not buy. Bizzar! Then like the guy with the spittle. Ya think he may have wiped the corners of his mouth with his hand? then went around touching stuff?
GOD BLESS all those in the storm areas. This is really so sad ,dealing with this pandemic then hit with devistating storms. Life just isn't fair.
Funny thing about this situation...we are dedicating some funds to stuff I've always wanted as a hunter. We just bought a decent vacuum food sealer. I have been processing my own deer for several years now and always wished I had a sealer. Not sure why we are just now getting one.
You will love it for everything. Bulk nuts and coffee...keeps fresher so much longer tea bags, pork, no more freezer burn ect ect...
I love weather, especially the extremes of it, but absolutely hate when it devastates communities and families. I followed along yesterday, as hard as it is to believe, by seeing images from the area, it actually wasn't as bad as it could have been. The two main storms took a very similar path with intense tornados, EF3+ and likely to be EF4 or EF5. It was a crazy thing to watch unfold knowing that structures were being struck. Here's two different screen ****s I took showing just how close the two storms tracked about 45 minutes or so apart. 1st image is a direct hit on Bassfield, MS. 2nd is the second tornado, bother were likely EF4+ at the time. Debris was lifted 35k feet in the atmosphere
Today's random stats Approx 2/3 own home v rent (source I property management.com) 64.4% is the number they cite. Now, just 1 month into C-19 effects... https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/13/cor...tgage-bailout-jump-78percent-in-one-week.html
Daughter is in banking and even though working from home their bank is swamped they're all pulling their hair out in all of this.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who has discovered radarscope.... damn good radar app. Almost as good as having GRlevel2 Analyst that fits in your pocket. Only thing I wish is that they would let you see all the elevation scans instead of just 4.
It's by far the best radar app out there. First got it back when I had an Iphone 3G, never even tried to find something to replace it as there is no need to. I was going to buy GR back in 2010, but once I got a smartphone I hardly ever got on a computer so never did.
So had 3 new cases, 2 recoveries so we are up one to 25 current cases. They didn't give an update yesterday, so they are showing 3 days in a row without a new case.
