Well that would make you one rich Son of a gun outside NYC and its boroughs. Though go through any career pay scale for the state of NY and you will find quite a gap. The lower end being same job upstate to the higher end for down state. There is a reason for the cost of living down there.
The elimination of the SALT Cap wouldn't be limited to the three states you stated. Anyone who itemized their tax return would be eligible to use it. Last I checked there are 43 state with state income tax. Further more almost all state have property taxes. So implying that just benefits residents from those three states is disingenuous. And since New York gets back about $.75 for every dollar it sent to the federal government explain to us again how the rest of the country is subsidizing us?
Again, not downplaying the seriousness of the virus. But this helps illustrate what I have been saying about the modeling and how they initially modeled it based on population and death rates in Italy. I think it was Justin who originally brought it up a week or two back about population density. It was a spot on rationalization. Obviously major metro's are going to be the worst cases in each state, especially those with major airports. And NYC and areas surrounding will always be the epicenter in any epidemic/pandemic that hits the US mainland.
$1200 checks are hitting bank accounts. Buddy got his direct deposited yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here's a fun speculative article... 18 months...? https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/mar...ce-18-months-of-rolling-shutdowns/ar-BB12wqGD
I'll wager a bet that in 18 months, people will be less likely to follow "shelter in place" orders. Just saying our tolerance as Americans to stuff like this will wear pretty slick in the near future, well before 18 months.

Actually I think it's more the Government is ready and set up to handle a spike if it happens in an area.
