Just think about all the anti-gunners who felt now is the time they need a gun and couldn't get one without FOID. And Now it could be 12 months or longer before they even get a permission slip, let alone buying a gun, finding ammo for it and waiting the 7 days to take possession. Could open their eyes to some things in a good way. Not counting on that though
Yea I'm guessing when this is all over it'll go back to buisness as usual. Guns are bad and nobody needs them. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Is it wrong to take advantage of the current crisis when making a substantial purchase? The current situation eliminates a good chunk of possible buyers. We have been working with a mortgage guy since before the crisis started we are qualified, certified, good to go. Still trying to decide to remodel or go. In a way it makes more sense to take the equity from selling the ranch on rolling in into a new property on a lake at a discounted price, rather than getting a cash out to remodel the ranch. Thing is my wife and I agree when we bought this place we both said we are here forever, it is going to take the right place on the right lake at the right price. Looking at a place friday evening that I have already walked the lot and it checks a few boxes like flat walk from the house to the lake, no neighbors right on top of me, and a big garage with a full stairway to an unfinished loft. 1 hour 15 minutes to the office 2-1/2 hours to the airport. Lake has walleye, smallmouth, crappie. 12' water visibility.
This virus has also opened up a lot of peoples mind as we move forward. If and when the crap really hits the fan one needs to be prepared, and also understand that a lot of people are not to be trusted. The wealthy will be leaving a lot of people in the dust without a care in the world. Not upset about that, just a fact.
Not wealthy last I checked I just built up equity by not buying toys. paid cash for my hobby boats kinda earned the opportunity to seize on an opportunity. I was strapped with two kids in college and being told I made to much to get a break in paying for tuition 2 years ago, popped out in a pretty good position. Golden years.
Missouri. Giant bucks, Constitutional Carry. Stupid property tax laws tho! Gotta throw the stupid crap in there to be fair and balanced. Also, we just learned all schools are closed for the rest of the school year due to Covid.
I concede. Your state is absurd in many ways from what I know and I wouldn't trade. It's better here, but I still have issues with the process here. Not gonna go deep, but one silly example here is they tax and register (tax again) your outboard motor here, trailer and boat separately. But I dont need to prove I trained with my 9 to keep it in my truck or waist band. Like I've stated here before, I'd move if I were you. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Gotta do for you and yours brother. I've lived in 4 states in 6 years now for various reasons with ups and downs. All I can say is good luck. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Once we open back up again and we know will be living with this virus until we get a vaccine how should we handle a breakout the next time. Should we follow the South Korea Model? Or just let runs it's course and have enough PPE, ventilators and tell folks you're on your own? Third, we do this terrific plan again?
In general in the US you get an undergraduate degree (4 years), then go to medical school (4 years), then do a residency (internal medicine 4 years, Anesthesiology 4 years, Surgery 5 years, etc). Some specialities require a fellowship that can last a year or two after residency( Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Vascular surgery, etc) To become Board Certified you must pass written and oral examinations given by your specialties board. They are time limited and to maintain your certification you need to follow your board maintenance of certification program that typically involves ongoing education activities and testing. You typically have a limited amount of time to get your certification after residency after this period of time you are no longer board eligible.
I will say I'm glad I sold my house and finished building when I did. I sold my house without a realtor for full asking price to the first couple on the first day. Not sure that would have happened now or even after this settles down.
That first year kids in the dorms and on the food plan, holy crap. The first kid you are in shock especially when you have another kid 2 years behind.
My second kid is 5 years behind and yes that was planned so we only had one in school at a time. My daughter wants to study abroad next year in Japan(may not go now), but she did some hard work getting some scholarships to pay for it next year. She is paying for a portion of her college which I think is good, she has some skin in the game. Bill for year one was just over 25,000, having two would make me cry.
