Honest to God! Just as I thought the BS radiating from this couldn't get much worse...I went to the mail box. This is something I only do every other day now strong bleach bottle in hand. I have the cleanest mail box around and have learned to keep ink runs to a minimum.
Today we got a letter from a development company. We see you have 24 acres( actually that parcel is 24 1/2 )
"We wish to purchase well under market value" Yes, yes that is actual!y what they wrote. 4,800+ I can't remember exact # my mind had exploded. Wait Wait it gets better. " We buy vacant land below fair market value so we can then market it and resell at a profit" Sorry but WTF! The vultures are out in force and not even hiding a tiny bit. That letter actually made me wonder if I hadn't been sucked into the twilight zone between the road and the house

I apologize for my 3 letter comment on my 4 letter thoughts. I'm not angry for me I'm angry for the poor souls that are not as fortunate as us. Coincidentally hubby had just finished an assessment and we have well over a years pay at hand ,not looking at any other assets. 10 mins later we are reading that garbage.
It then occurred to me this is probably what you guys in hurricane and tornado areas have to deal with it just makes me sick!

Been a non issue for me, I been asymptomatic from the start and by the time i got notified of my exposures i was already home twice with my wife and kids.
Plus as i havent missed any work , because 72 hours of asymptomatic and your back in the meat grinder regardless of test results.
Day 5 tomorrow maybe they come in.

    Thanks for what u do!

My daughter is a nurse and I would be very worried for her except for 2 things:

    1. Our county has only 2 confirmed cases
    2. She is pregnant and will not be allowed to work those patients should they arrive.

I should have said 3 things. They have moved the e d triage outside the building. Everyone is screened for symptoms. Not perfect but an added later of caution is good

Thanks for toughing it out on the front lines.

Just curious. Have you talked to colleagues about how Trump has handled this crisis so far? Would like to know how the nurses, docs, etc think he has handled it so far. I’m in the “he didn’t do enough early but has handled it well recently” category.

We should have listen in 2015, I am reading his New England Journal paper he talked about in this video. It's pretty interesting.

Yes I played the flu card, I did not take it serious at all.

You welcome to consider any thing youd like.
That said, regardless, my opinion of Trumps performance during the inception of this incident doesnt change.
His ignorant and ill conceived comments set the tone for this response and we are still paying for it. Quite frankly its an amazing testament of people around him that the administration recovered as well as it has. And although i don't have first hand observation about the local responses in other states, I can arrest to the response in NY and its been nothing short of excellent. Especially considering the circumstances we found ourselves in.

2-3 weeks and I'd sell that stock, slight correction already visible, but looks like it still has plenty of momentum. :|

The nurses I work with could care less about Trump. Their nurse managers, administrators, and state DH have a greater impact on their day to day lives.

I don't see much good in blaming Trump. The notion that somehow we should have been better prepared for this seems ridiculous. I'm more interested in where we go from here.

They're starting to limit numbers at some stores here. When first went into "lockdown" few gas stations were making ppl wait outside and the employees went and got your stuff. That didn't last long tho. So now you go in and there's a line in floor supposed to stand behind.

I am not there yet in 2-3 weeks, being we just had Florida and Georgia shut down just this week. We still have 8 states not locked down. As NY hits their peak and starts the curve down I think will have Michigan and California peak a week or two later. Then Lousiana, Florida and then Georgia.

The fact we had no national strategy at the start of this will cost us lives and more of our economy.

Well, their Gov may be the dumbest one of the bunch, so I am not shocked. I hear in Michigan they are thinking about opening the golf course on April 13th.
